Bridgestone Select

I have been taking my car to be serviced by Bill and the team at Bridgestone Coburg for over 10 years. One of the most genuine trusty-worthy mechanics you will ever meet. Not sure about anyone that is dropping one star reviews. Maybe they were having a bad day and wanted to take it out on someone.

I visited Bridgestone Coburg a week ago to do a tyre change.
During this experience it was great!
They had a very good deal on and completed it with no issues.
During that visit I asked for my front brakes to be changed and booked an appointment a week later.

During todays visit this is what happened:

Billy calls me stating that my car had smoke blowing out of the exhaust
And he claimed to drive it and it happened 6 times “Apprently”

I told him that has never happened and I find it bizzare as I had my car serviced the previous week and they checked everything.
He advised might be the gasket lollllllll and then changed it to PCV and then asked if my car screeches when I drive.

He kept pushing and going on a long winded ride explanation of basically nothing. I advised him I’ve lost trust now and I no longer wish for him to work on my car.

When I get to the shop he changed the story and said he plugged in a computer device and it told him there was issues

When I get home there was a weird smell and he told me he looked at the car for 10 minutes which is a complete change of story LOL from apparently driving it to Apprently plugging in the computer… which one is it?
Then when i asked if what anPCV is he refused to explain.

How can one come up with all these assumptions when only looking at my car for 10 minutes.

I took it to my mechanic and they literally said there is nothing wrong and changed the brakes for $60 less than what I was quoted.

I would think twice before coming here
Especially if your a woman as they seem to think we have no idea what’s going on and will try and add issues.

This was literally meant to be a change of brakes and it lead to lies.

I would not reccomend anyone go to this Bridgestone, I am disturbed to say the least.

Won at the pokies and got lunch free while waiting for the car to be finished. Apparently this isn't the first time lol, also got to keep ma money for an balance/alignment that wasn't necessary when checked. Great afternoon xoxo tku

Awful customer service. I made a booking to change my tyres. I received a confirmation email. I took time off work to drop my car there, but their office was closed and I had not been notified. No one answered my telephone calls either. It just wasted two hours of my time.

Very poor and unprofessional customer service. Went for my appointment today @ 11 am to replace 4 tyres for which I already paid and received an confirmation email but shop was closed tried to call them but no response came back home. Had to drive to Sydney with family and Bridgestone Coburg ruined my day and plans. Must have informed me in advance to reschedule or cancel my appointment. Pathetic service with rude staff.please stay away to save your precious time and time.

Really lovely guys. I had a flat from hitting a pothole, they were great and checked over the tyre, gave me options for what would be best, had it replaced and had me on my way really quickly!

Got a set of tires here a couple of years ago, very nice people family business. Now we also get both cars serviced here too. Very happy they are very honest and dont try to make us fix things that dont need fixing.

It took 4 days and 3 visits to change 1 tyre. Plus if u sound like an angry man in early hours of ur work. You probably need some break from work.
At one point i started feeling i am being punished for randomly stopping at their shop.
Suggestion- never leave your wheel at their shop for tyre replacement.you will find yourself helpless because they only like to work according to choice of their own time.

I was in a pickle with a flat and had the kids with me. They fixed it on the spot. Very nice and caring staff. They also do good car services! Cheers

Came with probs from another shop, I knew there was something wrong with the car. Good team at this place. Got it done during Covid reduced working hours too.

So My work has hired utes that have an account with Bridgestone. We got a flat tyre so came here to get it replaced. They didn’t have any tyres in stock apparently and They said they had to get it approved by the hire company first so they would call us the next day when they tire came in as well as the approval and then we can bring our Ute back to get this sorted.it’s been 2 days since.no contact and even though I have been calling several times a day as we NEED THIS UTE TO WORK! No one answers and there is no options for a voicemail to be left. Super disappointed. Get your shot together Bridgestone

Great service, Bill kept me updated throughout the repairs on my old Mazda, always checking first before doing any work and being direct about what repairs were essential for safety and what cosmetic repairs went beyond the value of the car. Also went out of his way to explain things to me, a car novice, and gave me good tips to keep my car in the best nick possible.

Worst ever customer service from bridgestone. The guy is doughy. After putting new tyres, wheel balancing is off and he promised to fix it. Not answering calls anymore

Was refereed to these guys at Coburg Bridgestone. I knew my car was in good hands after I called to obtain a price for my major service and 4 new tyres. Billy and the crew are a wealth of knowledge and its shows, you can't stay in business for as long as these guys if you can't provided customer satisfaction. My 2005 model drives like it wold straight of the production line. Will not hesitate to recommend them. Keep up the good work.

The father and son team at Coburg Bridgestone Select are the best. Friendly and reliable service over many years and are also willing to help out with non-tyre related service! Ask for Bill or Luke.

Had a lot of work done including work to the shocks and contol arms. Car started driving significantly worse after I got it back and had to be put back in for another $800 in repairs because the missmatch between the old and new shocks destroyed several parts in the car. Unfortunately I don't know enough about cars to know if the work was actually required or if a second hand shock should have been installed originally to prevent the damage occuring. They comped me two of the brand new tires I just bought that had been destroyed with "as new" tires, so theres that I guess. This review would be either 4.5 stars or 1 star depending on if the job was done correctly the first time around.

One of the best service I got from here everyone members in the workshop are humble and have good knowledge about the work. I don’t think I am going to some other auto service center.

Had mayor work done on my vex, mainly wear and tear, before I got the quote Bill assessed the the car and told me it would cost a couple of grand and not really worth fixing, I was somewhat taken aback by his frankness and appreciated hs honesty, now since I nearly paid 40 grand for my baby brand new, no way was I gonna sell it to some p plater to thrash it
A week later I got her back and I couldn’t be more pleased, purring like the day she come out of the show room.
