I only just got married a few weeks ago but I'm bursting at the seams with how much I want to recommend Oli so here we go!

Best photographer ever. No doubt.

For context, we live in the UK but got married in Melbourne. Planning a wedding from the other side of the world is hard work to say the least, so when I say that hiring Oli was the best decision I made about this wedding (besides.actually getting married to my husband I guess) I really mean it.

You can tell from the photos on his website and socials that he's some kind of magical wizard with the camera but I really was was blown away by the previews we've had so far and can't wait for the full gallery. Oli has an eye that just somehow always sees those precious little moments that otherwise slip away in your memory - the unreal emotions of that day are now captured forever in the most beautiful way and there's really no words for what that means for us. He is a true artist in ways that I have yet to see in any other wedding photography.

But more than being a photo wizard, Oli was such a gem in finding our other fabulous vendors, through his incredibly useful website and direct recommendations. For planning a wedding from so far away this was invaluable, and every vendor we spoke to raved about him.

Finally, as someone who is admittedly very socially awkward, shy, and uncomfortable with attention - Oli was a totally relaxed presence on my stressy day and immediately put me at ease. You definitely need someone like that on your wedding day and Oli brought those chill vibes, we only met in person on the day but I felt like he was an old mate and instantly made me comfortable.

Ok so this is getting long now but basically, if you're thinking of Briars Atlas for your wedding, stop thinking about it and just do it. You won't regret it, and like me, you'll probably want to get married twice just to hire Oli again. DO IT!

Oli is such an easy-going, but very professional photographer/artist. He was inconspicuously taking photos during our wedding. My husband, our guests and I remarked on the moments he's captured and how amazing the final outcome of his work. He was also very accommodating on some minor adjustments and worked well with other vendors (who by the way, speak highly of him). I highly recommend Oli to capture that special moment in your life.

Oli was superb. Friendly and easy to talk to. Very attentive, artistic and aware of his surroundings. He simply blends into the background and captures the perfect moments and yet he is always near by to take requests. Oh and his photography is just amazing. Highly recommend!

When I say that Oli is the best I mean he is the best person, photographer and now friend I know how the pleasure to have!
Oli will put you first even at his own expense.
He went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us and I can say with absolute certainty that he is worth more then what we pay him! His work is honestly not just wedding photos it’s ART! I friends that have said they have never seen wedding photos like it and that it looked like a vogue photoshoot!
When I look back at my wedding the one thing I will never regret is having Briars Atlas there to be part of are day!

What a guy to get to shoot with. I worked along side him at Jess and Kevin's wedding and quickly understood why he's in another league all together. His photography and people skills are incredible, however I learned he'll freak out with the bridesmaids when there's a spider in the house.

Just in case you didn't already know, Oli of Briars Atlas is a phenomenal photographer. So creative and thoughtful, you are guaranteed spectacular results. He's a genius who can turn a normal photograph into a piece of art, a rare skill!

Oli might seem like the international man of mystery with his flowing locks and nonchalant ways, but I can assure you, Oli is THE master snapper.

With a desire to always be ahead of the game, he never stops pushing and learning and creating. A supremely generous soul, with a heart bigger than Phar Lap, there’s nothing that he won’t do for his clients and colleagues and the photos he delivers speak for themselves.

He's the real deal, the ducks nuts, the bees knees. The end.

I mean it goes with out saying that Oli is a creative photographer in his own realm; he takes the most dreamy photos. But what I most appreciate about Oli is the genuine and positive way he shows up for everyone he works with, both the couples and other suppliers. He is always willing to go the extra mile, is super adaptable with plans & you can tell he just really enjoys what he does & loves being apart of each and every wedding! He is a total professional - delivers his photos so efficiently & is always there to offer advice to other industry suppliers. He is a bit of a ledge & you'll love your experience working with him.

If you're looking for a soft, fluffy lens or schmaltzy posed pics of your bridesmaids leaning on a car in unison, keep on movin'. This 'aint your guy. But, if you're wanting wedding photos that are artful, broody, moody, edgy and purely beautiful then this extremely talented fellow is for you. He gets the real moments, sometimes eerily reflective of the beauty of the human psyche. The tiny moments that celebrate the most special and intimate of relationships. As an bonus he is also just a delightful human who I love to work with as a wedding celebrant. Book him.

Every image Oli shares with the world is so vividly unique with the power to disarm you and leave you feeling like you wish you were a fly on the wall at THAT wedding! He is also a wonderful human being and the kind who will become a life long friend after shooting your wedding!

Oli is an incredible photographer, amazing human and we feel so lucky to have found him! He shot both our wedding and an event in the lead up, capturing so many special moments like magic, fitting in so well with our family and friends and putting everyone at ease. He is professional, a great communicator, works incredibly quickly and is just an absolute pleasure to have around. We love the images he captured and couldn't be happier, he is a master of light with an amazing eye. We wish we could do it all again!

I have had the pleasure of working with the talented Oli several times and absolutely adore it. He is swift like a ninja never getting in the way and never knowing where he is but also knowing he is somewhere he is meant and that is capturing the raw emotions and the hilarious moments that sometimes move so quickly you have to be so incredibly present to catch them.

Oli is all about capturing the little and big Wedding moments in unique and truly beautiful ways. I don't routinely write reviews but Oli really deserves one.

Oli photographed our wedding and, throughout the whole process, he could not have been more accommodating, helpful or warm. We planned a very small wedding at very short notice so didn't arrange to meet Oli in advance, but he fit in so well my family thought for a time he was a guest / one of our friends. He was particularly adept at navigating family dynamics.

Oli was our first choice photographer and the photos did not disappoint. We never had to worry that we wouldn't get some great photos - Oli captured the joy of our day so well. We also received our gallery incredibly fast - a couple of photos that night, a preview the morning after the wedding, a further preview not long after, the entire gallery within about 2.5 weeks (!), and later a hand-carved box with some prints.

I've run a successful video company in Melbourne and Sydney for 18 years and worked with many a talented photographer on my journey. With Oli, there is something a little / lot different. Apart from his witty and sharp intellect and of course a good dose of charm. They way he sees light, composition finding the extraordinary in what seems to be ordinary at first sight is truly a gift.

If you can take that leap of faith, venture far left then make sharp right at Albuquerque, away from the mainstream photographers, you will be find yourself with moments that will captivate you forever.

I work with a bucket load of suppliers and have always found Briars Atlas to be hands down one of the best! Being uncomfortable in front of the camera would be pretty impossible with Briars Atlas behind the lens as he is so relaxed and easy going. The images are incredible and he is an Artist of his own right.

Oli has a way of capturing the moments between the moments and creating pure art with them! I can't recommend him enough.
