Loved the staff especially a certain teacher who indulged in a lightsaber battle in the toilets together with me!:)

could be better as i have now been advised by my lawyer to stay 500m away from the school at all times or they will press charges. CRINGE!

Teachers did nothing to help bullying besides punishing the victim
Filthy bathrooms and desks
Stinky classrooms
Barely any support for struggling students
Canteen is severely overpriced

40% of the teachers don't know how to teach, 30% of the teachers just sit in their chairs without teaching or assisting students, and only 30% of the teachers know what they are doing.some teachers who primarily teach certain subjects only have average proficiency in those subjects and teaching other subjects they are not good at. Also many teachers in years 11-12 are not qualified. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Your typical state school. Has been fairly well modernized and is still undergoing upgrades. As is typical, traffic peaks around drop off and pickup times are insane. Best avoided unless you need to be there during those times.

There are reviews here that are completely false and misleading. I will put my name to this and give an honest review, without the rubbish some people have left.
I am a staff member at Brentwood.
Some 20 years ago, I was asked by the principal (at a different school) 'If you wouldn't send you own children here, then why not? What would you do to make changes so that you WOULD want to send your own children to this school'?
That statement/question has stuck in my head for over 20 years of my teaching career.
I can honestly say, with no influence from anyone, that I would do anything to get my own kids in to Brentwood. I would not have sent my kids to my former workplace. Building a positive school culture takes many, many years and Brentwood has worked hard to achieve this.
I know all the staff - I have been there for a long time, and I can say that they go 'over and above' to ensure students get the best education and experience in the classroom. The opportunities they have are far superior to any around the area in my opinion. The teachers are not there 'hanging out' until their retirement date - Not that I am suggesting that other schools in the area are.
They are active, fully committed, motived, enthusiastic, embrace new technologies and keep up to date with advancements in technology - Everything I would want my OWN kids to experience, hence I wanted my own kids to attend there - Not because of convenience by any means whatsoever, but because I can see hard working staff that are completely dedicated to outcomes of a high standard.
I would honestly say that if I thought any differently than above, I would express this. Not just because I work there - I am working with teachers and leadership that are dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated. In fact, I believe we run rings around private schools.
If I and MANY other staff members are prepared to send their own kids to this school, then you know it's good. My daughter loves the place, and are very happy. That means a lot to me, because someone happy at the school is in a far better position to learn than someone who is unhappy.
The investment in quality teachers, resources and technology systems is nothing like I have ever experienced.
Teachers at this school compared to MANY other schools I have worked at are very dedicated, hard working, and go 'above and beyond' what I would expect to be normal.
I teach Aviation Science at the school as well as other subjects and train people to become pilots - Aviation is a very strong passion of mine, and the students I have put through over the past 8 years have seen great success. Thankfully, Brentwood has allowed me to run this course.
Brentwood is a well run, managed school with opportunities.
I send my own children here - That says enough about how impressed I am with the quality of teaching and learning that takes place.

Brentwood Secondary College is an alright school, however, some of the teachers have a terrible attitude. Even on some occasions, the classrooms smell terrible, if you wish to take your student here, be prepared for some issues with the teachers and canteen.

Brentwood is a great school. People come from all over, and it’s also home to great teaching staff. Although the school may seem dirty and old, a lot of work has been done to improve facilities and overall cleanliness. Recently, there have been a lot of upgrades and new additions to the school to improve it for students.

Here are some photos of the College Library.

I came to this school at the beginning of year 7, at first the school seemed good, though I was mistaken after a few months. This school allows teacher's to have other priorities which is okay to an extent. But, during my experience I had multiple teachers who had other duties within the school which meant that the teachers were often away. This meant that our class had to deal with casual teachers who could barely speak English fluently with no experience what so ever. I can easily say that I have had more casual teachers than full time teachers in specific subjects. Furthermore, the classrooms smell and are very humid/damp and the school hasn't done anything about it. Most of the classrooms have air-conditioning's which do not work properly. This makes concentrating in class very difficult. Overall this school is overrated as they are not equipped with the correct equipment and are not orgainised. Speaking from experience I would not suggest bringing your child to this school.

Best school, canteen overpriced though. Please add security cameras in locker bay 3. Huge problem with shady dealings.

The school recently got 4.6 million dollars, so I am very puzzled about why there isn't even a clock in every single classroom.
