Bread Club reviews
35 I made the trip for the bread. It's delicious. The best inn town. The shop is tiny, cramped, but hey, that's ok. Not sure I'm fond of the pastel green but there is no argument with taste. What I found offensive is the entitled untrained staff who mumble, can't hear you, and act like you the customer is an annoyance in their lollipop encased day. PLEASE employ people with some customer service consciousness and them train them. The ones on the Albert Park store are not an asset.
Bread is heaven.
Coffee is always amazing, food is delish I want to try it all and the service is always a pleasure. Im a regular now!
Their croissant is flakey outside but perfectly moist inside! However I didn't quite like their flat white. The espresso was was a little too light and floral for me.
The financier is to die for!
Almond croissant was rich and decadent!
The variety of pastries is unbeatable!
Just wish they had some indoor space to enjoy all of these along with coffee!
Is it the staff at Bread Club who make the food so exceptional, or is it the food that elevates the staff's greatness?
It's a delightful mystery, and I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Suzy, who has a special skill at spotting the best flattest cookies, marvellous and funny Matt, the fabulous Meg, and the lovely tall young lad at Bread Club for consistently finding me those incredible flat toffee choc salty cookies. Your attention to detail, all with a smile, brings me immeasurable joy.
We all understand these cookies from Bread Club are not just the best in Melbourne or Australia; they might very well be the best in the world. If everyone could indulge in these cookies daily, I believe world peace would be within our grasp.
I do wish Bread Club could sell these cookies frozen so that I could share them with everyone, and we could savor freshly baked ones every morning without making the trek to your bakehouses.
But seriously, what's the secret behind these amazingly scrumptious cookies? I have a genuine concern that if anything ever happens, I might never have the privilege of tasting such a divine treat again. That thought is almost unbearable.
Now, I'm curious, who's the genius behind the creation of these caramel-infused, dark chocolate-coated, perfectly salty, crunchy, creamy cookies at Bread Club? And yes, I've noticed that the flat ones have a unique taste compared to the slightly plumper ones.
Have you experienced this?
More “burnt” more toffyish salty crisp
I'd love to learn more, and I urge you, Bread Club, to consider focusing on a cookie venture, making these delights available frozen so that people everywhere can enjoy them. You could become a global sensation, and I'd never have to worry about cookie shortages again.
I would consider coming on board as your number 1 frozen cookie sales rep. I will travel the land introducing this toffee salted chocolate cookie as the GREATEST cookie Australia has ever produced or tasted.
Please take this review to heart. It comes from a place of profound gratitude.
Sincerely,
Liv
P. S. I'd like to order six super flat cookies from Bread Club for the morning. I know it's against the rules, but with a little advance notice, I hope to gain your support. I had a heartbreak last week when I returned after a month away, barely past lunchtime, and you were SOLD OUT! I was devastated. This message is from my ghostwriter.
P. P. S. I heard Bread Club has been making fewer cookies lately. That's because I was away for 5 1/2 weeks, and during that time, I was buying 25 to 30 cookies a week. I'm sure you noticed the difference.
P. P. P. S. I'm going away again this weekend, so I desperately need my cookie supply from Bread Club before I leave. Please make extra cookies this week.
I have yet to figure out why people stand in line for this bakery. I have tried their items a few times and it’s really just bread!
A croissant in France sells at a good pastry shop for around 1 euro ($A1.63). At Bread Club they sell for $5 each! Whilst I can’t account for this huge price variation Icahn say that the Croissants at Bread Club are the best I have tasted so far in Melbourne. A flaky, buttery outer shell and a beautiful soft interior. They taste fresh! No dull refrigerated texture, no bread texture. These are the. Real deal and don’t need an fancy reinvention.
I don't know what sorcery goes into the Vegemite and jalepeno scrolls that makes them so unbelievably delicious, but oh my goodness.
Awesome place to get your daily bread, pastries, buns, sourdough and they are all delicious. They are baked daily. The coffee is amazing too. A special shout out to Suzi, Morgan and Meg who are the best ever. They are super friendly and always serving with a smile.
Service is painfully slow, I wanted just a single bread roll in the morning, "sold out". Display full of made up bread rolls. Prices go up and service quality goes down. I'm done.
My favourite bakery in melbourne
Edit: beautiful bread condescending staff, not worth visiting anymore
My mushroom pie vanished, I don't know where.it was so good. Maybe this ham and gruyere will fill the hole. No. Wait. It's vanished too! At least I have the donuts left? Bread club is a friendly, tasty, different, amazing, yummy, local spot. Always so many excellent choices and variations on the classics. Love.
I love here.
I felt destiny that I knew this bakery.
Would like to move next door that much love the bread which high quality all of them.
One negative thing is pricy.
My mum bought a pie from here and couldnt eat is as she was too taken aback from the rudeness.
It's funny, i found this place by accident, actually i missed my stop from a tram, but found people lining up in front of the bakery, the bread was good
Oh Mayne came here on a cycling stop with da boys and it was so delicious. Bread Club? More like, Delicious Club! I had the twice baked almond croissant with gingerbread and vanilla cream and I tried some of the cookie and kimchi toast. Amazing. Definitely coming back.
Food is great, really yummy sandwiches and pies. My reason for the 3 stars is due to the level of service I received. My friend and I wanted to share a sandwich and asked if it could be cut in half. Wasn’t even looked at by the woman and very coldly received a flat out no. We were the only people in the shop so unsure why this was an issue? We also asked for tomato relish for the pie and we got given chili jam instead, didn’t realize until it was too late. Just a really unfriendly vibe and not passionate, I understand everyone has bad days but it really tarnished my experience.
I had one of Bread Club Albert Park's Beef Bourguignon pies today and it was just delicious! Puff pastry cooked to perfection and the filling had chunks of tender meat. I also love their Fougasse bread with it's delicious infusion of garlic. The staff are just lovely and I will certainly make this wonderful bakery a habitual shopping must. Thank you for a wonderful experience Bread Club!
Great unique selection of breads that you cannot get in a typical bakery.
Unique twists on the pizza rolls you get at coles that always sell out so get in early.
Bread Club feels like you've walked into a Montreal bakery and their bread is second to none in this part of town.
The smell is like a freshly cooked croissant and sesame seed bread.
Bread Club is on the more expensive side, but don't let that stop you from trying all their French baked breads.
I'd even ask the staff to speak a little French to transport you to another part of the world!
