Bread Club reviews
40One of the best bakery in Melbourne. We got the almond croissant and it was so delicious and filling. Definitely a must have.
Just stumbled over this cute little bakery in North Melbourne with so many delicious items on offer. I tried the spinach, ricotta sausage roll and it was delicious. I’ll definitely be back to try some options and get a coffee.
Probably some of the best bread I have ever had! The line was out the door at about 10am. The shop is well designed with nice decor, the only shame is you cant sit in and have a coffee due to the limited seating but i think thats part of the experience of this place.the staff were lovely and the bread was amazing highly recommended the baguette twist thing ha I went back and bought another they also do differ flavour combinations on weekends so go check it out.
The only other contender I can think of for sourdough of this calibre is the bakehouse in Portland, West of Melbourne about 4 hours.
Oh oh oh! Just drive pass randomly today. Just 5 minutes ago. What a luck day for me. Just had my best ever ever ever tasty bun. Tears in my eyes, so so tasty. You got try this mate, oh.
Stop burning your bread, it is disappointing to get a loaf and it be completely darkened. The taste is bitter and unpleasant. A consistent issue for at least a year now
The pastries are great otherwise
I ordered a flat white and waited. And waited.
Surprised by the delay, I peeked into the cafe to see what was taking so long.
I saw some people who had arrived after me get their coffees and head out. Even more puzzled, I wondered if my order had been misplaced. I stepped inside to ask.
I saw four takeaway coffee cups on the counter being made and filled and then set aside in a group. I stepped back out for a moment as other people made their way out the exit.
Then one of the staff picked up a tray, loaded the coffees on a tray and started handing them out to the people waiting outside including me. “Flat white…. Flat white…. ”
Relieved, I grabbed mine and started to walk briskly to the hospital to make an appointment on time.
I took a sip around the corner and realised with outrage and a sinking disappointment that my coffee was lukewarm. From sitting on the counter until the other three flat whites which the three other people behind me had clearly ordered had been made just so they could take out all four cups out at once the five or so steps outside.
I don’t know who that barista or server was but they had committed a coffee crime in my eyes.
The pastries were pretty good but didn’t make up for the offence of trying to save what exactly? Time? Trying to be more efficient?
Kill 4 coffees off in one blow? Saving the server their rubber soles from wear?
Yeah no. I’ll go to a cafe that aims to deliver a hot coffee as it’s made for each customer thanks.
Great hot and cold offerings always changing (bring back the cardamom scroll!) and always delicious. Everyone must get the fougasse at least once!
I haven’t tried a wide range but love to grab their baguette sandwiches, saffron scroll, nutella scroll and my most favourite is quince danish. I just tried some hot cross buns! The traditional one was too sweet for me but the twice baked traditional and choclate cross bun were beautiful!
Really nice fresh bakery. The choco almond croissant is fantastic. I will soon be back to try nee things!
I initially came in wanting a almond croissant and I got the chocolate croissant instead from the recommendation of the staff.
The croissant was flaky and crispy on the exterior, especially on the edges and it was nice and gooey on the inside from the filling. It wasn't too sweet either and it had a nice heft to it.
I could not fault the service provided from the staff as they were all friendly and was happy to have a chat. This was my first time and it won't be my last either
Spinach ricotta rolls.yumm. 8.50.worth every single cents. Fruit loaf. It is so rich and take 3 days to finish. 11/02/2023 tried Rattatoulie pie (loving it) and the sandwich (could be better if it is tosted with flat toast)
Fresh daily baked almond croissants. Friendly staff but only can do take away and could not sit in store
Found by accident as I was driving past the best find, tried the almond croissants.they were superb
The bread in this bakery has magic powers, it wins every sourdough race & nothing can beat it. The fougasse, once tried, will be in your dreams forever, your sleep will never be the same.
All the other baked goods use great quality ingredients & made so well. Whoever creates these recipes has a very good palate & skills to match.
I wish they offered sourdough bread rolls, ciabatta rolls, milk buns for burgers etc.
I was given a packet of Mon Cheri mince tarts yesterday as a Xmas gift. They are all gone! Without a doubt the best mince tarts I've ever eaten - I'll be adding rhubarb to my Xmas mince mix from now on.
Came here for coffee and a snack earlier on. Great and friendly service, but was good only takeaway cups available. When I asked if I could still drink it there, was told no but no reason given. Even still it’s a nice bakery and I got a vanilla donut which was nice enough as far as donuts go. The other items looked good but standard fare. Would come back to this place for coffee, baked goods in the future.
Oh my god this place is the bomb! There bread is amazing! You must try the garlic pretzel thing delicious. We tried most things in the bakery and all were 5/5. Chocolate croissant, sausage roll and the sour dough breads yum. 100% so good!
Hey we’re Bread Club
Our foods pretty tasty
But you better be hasty
Because rain, hail or shine,
This ain’t no place to dine
We’re hip, we’re new, we’re flash
So we ask for a lotta cash,
We really are a hit
But we forgot to give you a place to sit
So if you sit down to eat your treat
We will ask you to leave
That’s just the way things are
And no, we’re obviously not subpar!
Interior is cute but we were kinda rushed as we were ordering. I guess their policy is - if you can't make up your mind in front of the counter within seconds, we don't have time to help you, we will serve people behind you first for today's KPI

︎︎︎?
Garlic and rosemary fougasse. My favorite out of everything we bought. Very aromatic~smells and tastes very garlicky and herbal. Crunchy and crusty on the outside, soft on the inside.
︎︎︎? ?
Tart shell too thin and soggy on the bottom, filling too sweet
︎︎︎? ? ?
They chose to stack something on top and completely squashed it~No trace of pandan whatsoever
︎︎︎? ?
Also squashed, not impressed
This place is the most popular spot in North Melb! Lines out the door and people filling large shopping bags with baked goods. The escargo is very good and their pies and sandwiches are also great. A little on the pricey side, but cheaper than brunch. Coffee is also great so there's no need to stop by a coffee shop after. The line moves quickly!
