Brainworks Balwyn

My experience Brainworks Balwyn has been a positive one. I have been using them to prepare my son for the Melbourne High Selective Entry exam. Throughout the term, I could see improvements in the way he approached the topics, and he eventually received a first round offer for MHS. We really appreciate the help Brainworks has provided.

Brainworks Balwyn is great! Our son Noah loves the challenge of the scholarship program and looks forward to attending each week. We are impressed by the breadth and depth of materials covered for reading, writing, mathematics, and exam techniques; they really know what they are doing! Meg and the staff are very helpful in providing feedback and extra support materials. They have really tailored the program to meet Noah’s needs and we highly recommend them to any family looking to complete a scholarship exam!

Our son (Grade3) joined Brainworks Balwyn a year ago and he absolutely loves it. Meg offered a flexible individually tailored learning program to meet his needs. The assessments an practice worksheets are very specific and quite engaging which fuelled our son's enthusiasm and incentive to learning. The positive and friendly environment in the centre made the tutoring sessions a time to look forward to. Our son build up confidence which has reflected on his NAPLAN results and School reports.

Meg and the team have been wonderful in assisting my kids. It has given them greater confidence at school. We had tried kumon previously with my son but he finds this more enjoyable.

My son got a Scholarship! He came out of a terrible grade 4 lockdown year having pretty much not done any work - he was unmotivated and flat and hard to get off screens. I sent him to two x 8 sessions with Brainworks in grade 5 and he started to improve in both his work and his self esteem. I worked hard to get him to do as much of the ample homework sheets that they send home. And in March he sat his second academic scholarship exam and got a scholarship! I am thrilled - it was pretty much a dream given his lack of effort in yr 4. I very grateful to BW for their continued support structure, motivation and fast response. They were very understanding due to my single parent circumstances. And the tutors are energetic, young and connect well with the kids, the space in Doncaster and Balwyn are very nice too. Highly recommend.

My 2 kids love going to Brainworks Balwyn. They enjoy quiet time and the opportunity to think quietly and learn at their own pace. Small groups and excellent tutors allow efficient and fun studying. When I tried to explain some concepts to my son he asked if we could leave it to Brainworks tutors:)

We are so happy we came across Brainworks (Balwyn) for our child's education needs. Not only are the staff most friendly and accomodating, they deliver quality coaching and testing as well. Meg is so pleasant to work with and shares her valuable feedback during the parent catch-up sessions. The teachers spend dedicated time with each child helping them focus and improve in areas as needed. This one on one approach is a great motivator and encouragement for the child as well.

We love that Brainworks is a tailored program to individual kid's needs and allow kids to work at their own pace. Meg is responsive and very approachable. Another bonus is that we are not required to do the corrections at home. The tutors correct the student's work and spend one-on-one time explaining corrections, so students are not sitting in a class listening and learning things they already know.

My child's 11 years old and she has been going to Brainworkss for three terms now. My daughter's maths is above her year level now and her writing is more organised. Meg is great and she helped my daughter to prepare for the SEAL test and I highly recommend Brainworks

I have had a very positive experience with Brainworks Balwyn. I have been using them for my son's preparation for the Melbourne High exam and to help my daughter prepare for NAPLAN, particularly writing. My son received a first round offer for MHS and was in the top 11% for four of the five tests. My daughter scored in the “well-above” category in NAPLAn for all but one test. However, results aside, everyone is very nice and they provide critical feedback in a positive manner. As a parent, honestly, I would not know where to have started with several subjects. In Brainworks, not only have I received feedback and advice from Meg Yadav several times about how things are going but also from several of the tutors who have worked with my son and daughter. The advice has enabled me to also take an active role in preparing my children. I can honestly say that I feel well supported and am also grateful for the quality of instruction. If I had known that Brainworks existed earlier in the piece, I would have sent my children regularly to fill the gaps created from the public schools they attend. I will continue to send my daughter regularly and I am happy to do it.

We have 2 primary children and 1 secondary child who have all really benefited from Brainworks Balwyn tutoring program. Meg and the team are wonderful going above and beyond identifying individual strengths and weaknesses in each child and tailoring programs to meet their individual needs. Our kids have enjoyed intensive holiday programs as well as weekly sessions and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to Brainworks Balwyn for anyone looking to support they child schooling.

Our eldest daughter attended Brainworks Balwyn to assist in scholarship preparation. Our youngest daughter has attended both the extension and scholarship programmes. Meg and her team have an individualised and flexible program to assist students in reaching their potential. Our girls have throughly enjoyed being challenged and the outcomes from the programmes have exceeded all our expectations.

I have two children attending Brainworks. My daughter who is 10 completing foundation extension and my son who is 11 undertaking scholarship preparation. Meg and her staff have been very accommodating listening to the specific needs of my children and catering for them. Meg is always prompt in her responses and actions. She always goes above and beyond. She has intimate knowledge of my children's abilities and always seeks to extend them where she sees appropriate. Her staff are very knowledgeable and communicate effectively to clarify questions and enhance knowledge. I'm happy to recommend Brainworks Balwyn!

My kids who are 9 and 11 started Brainworks just before the pandemic and continued throughout lockdown via zoom classes and it has been a saviour for us to help our kids with their learning, routine, discipline and structure.

Meg in particular has provided bespoke service, and excellent feedback and tips to keep our kids on track. She's generous, flexible and supportive and importantly honest with her feedback.

It is been my daughter's 4th year in Brainworks. A small group class which is very supportive and also help kids individually and accordingly.
