BOXHILL - VIC - KFL SUPERMARKET reviews
18 Need renovation. The KFL management need to look into serious problems: (1) All Goods should have price tags and name in English & Chinese. (2) Country of Origin, especially Seafoods like Fish.
KFL Box Hill store used to be the leading Asian Grocery Shop, but now the standards has dropped. There are many new Asian Grocery shops around the corner (along Station Street & Canterbury Road. Or two km away in Box Hill town.
Now I prefer to go to KFL Forest Hill & KFL Springvale. Staff are more alert & attentive.
The hot pot ingredients I bought home were found to be expired! The enoki mushrooms I bought are smelly! Although the tofu I bought has not expired, it still smells sour and has mucus! So disappointed, there is definitely something wrong with the management!
While this store according to their web shows that this is a wholesale store I see it no different to their other stores.
The parking to me is terrible where one could not park without hitting the other vehicle next to them. Disabled parking is non existent.
The plus side to this is that they have fresh fish. That is a good bonus to this but to me I will look elsewhere unless I do need to go there
Very Poor. Most Price / or Name Tags NotAvailable or Not Clear.
Owners Showed Lack of Interest To Rectify or Improved Image.
(2) Very Untidy and Run Down compared to before under the Ex- Son in Law, Jimmy’s Time.
IMO this Asian grocer is not as good as it used to be. There is a decent range of grocery items but the store is untidy and things can be hard to find. The prices are ok compared to other Asian grocers but the vegetables in terms of quality and availability are not so good. Customer service is not good in terms of helpfulness and friendliness. I'm not a regular and obviously I'm not Chinese so I don't find it easy to shop there but I want the food so I've learned to live with it.
Love this local supermarket.
Has every basic ingredient that you want to find from Asian cooking.
Small, run down, limited selection of products, some of their regulars seem a bit miffed that you are in the queue in front of them, and the lady on checkout was going as fast as she could (which, given her advanced age, isn't very fast).
Affordable prices for Asian groceries. Meat and seafood and veggies.
Big open spaces and the lighting are bright.
Out of the KFL supermarkets, Box Hill is my favorite one.
Pretty good service and wide range of products however they don't have alot of selections of snacks just very minimal. Other than that it's a pretty good store if you need to pick up your Asian grocery.
Wide variety of asian food, from snacks to uniqur ingredients. Can find almost anything here and prices are reasonable
Great range of Asian grocery products. The fresh vegetable section is small but it's got most Chinese veg that you'd regularly eat. Butcher and fishmonger also available, and staff are always lovely. Prices are competitive and meat is fresh! It's good to be able to access Chinese produce without having to make the trek into box Hill.
The customer service was none to compare. The timely response that answered my concern. The price
was reasonable, the quality was great
From what I experienced so far, very average.
Just concern so many fake 5 star reviews here.
They sell expiring products, they missed uneatble old vegetable in bunches. Mismatched product price, it happens a couple of times. So they mark a very good price, then when checkout, the price is much higher. I triple checked the brand, grams, etc.
Group buy give normal market price, which mislead no-thinking customers.
These kinds of noticeable on purpose trick just make this brand super unreliable.
Not too bad - I find prices now are similar to the other Asian places no longer to be very cheap
Fair priced asian foods. Alternative to those shops in Box Hill Central. There are parking spaces on site, you may not find a spot during busy period.
They had a supermarket in Richmond that we supported, but when property was sold, the new owner increased the rent. They decided to join up with the store in Box Hill, around 5 years ago. Since then Box Hill is getting busier and busier and old shop in Richmond still untenable.
Supermarket in Box Hill seems to have a larger variety since we started shopping there.
This place has a wide variety of Asian fruits, vegetables, spices and sauces. Also sells meat and seafood. Prices are reasonable.
Not a bad place to get your Asian groceries if you don't want to battle with the crowd and pay for parking at Box Hill Shopping Centre. Parking here is awkward. Drive your smallest car here.
