Box Hill Gardens

Nice park with ample play activities for kids of all ages. Well built with running tracks and all. Great for a stroll, for the kids or a nice little picnic.

Boxhill is especially famous for one of the Big Chinese community in Melbourne. So you can have a variety choices for many different Traditional Chinese food. After that you have a chance to ease your belly at the Boxhill garden. They would give you somewhat reasonable choices of running, walking, Basketball even outdoor Table  Tennis. After all those exercise you can relax yourself huge size of grass area under the trees or near the pond. Off you go any time you want!

Good facilities to utilized if you are the nature person. There are completed facility like basketball court, skating area, playgrouds and etc. The park is the cleanest park in my opinion it is very good and I like it

Great place to walk and exercise get fresh air or see cute dogs hanging around. Only thing i dont like is some of people hang around there some would stare at me rudely when im just minding my own business happened around 2x mostly those who originated from ccp country.

If you get there early enough it is very quiet. It is just across the road from the Box Hill Hospital and a short walk from the railway station

Nice garden for a local community gathering or a solo walk. Not enough parking spaces during weekends or public holidays though

Beautiful park with playground, duck pond and running track, a block from the centre of box hill.

Brilliant playground for kids. Good amount of play gym equipment. Basket ball court, ping pong tables, walking/running track. A small pond with ducks, well maintained grass and trees

Only dampener is the lack of parking spots

Very popular with locals including nearby uni students and hospital staff, this park is so spacious that you have plenty of areas to be alone.

Great Park to go for a run or practice another sport like basketball, tennis or pingpong. Also has a nice playground. Park is lighted in the evening.

Pretty gardens in central box hill within a short distance walk from the town centre.
Or you can drive here as there is hour free parking on station street.
There are wide open spaces for bike riding and playing with a ball ‘ I never saw any no dog

I discovered this park during covid restrictions and it really helped escape the reality of things. There is a 1km track looping the lark with 50m markers all around which really helps me with my training.
Although it can be crowded at times there is plenty of space for everyone. Theres also basketball rings, ping pong tables, public toilets, and a huge playground.

Lovely space. Great space for gatherings. Unfortunately there's not enough shaded areas, especially around the playground for the children.

This would have to be one of the most well used parks I have ever seen. There were families having picnics and BBQ. People Doing Tai Chi. Heaps.of kids aging with scooters and bikes and lots of Basketball games. It was a well used park at all hours of the day I visited.

There's a running track here with distance markers which I'd look forward to using next time. We came here for a catch up walk with a friend and it was lovely to see all the different facilities in use.

If only some people take their rubbish with them when they leave, the garden is a beautiful place to walk around, good for anyone who wants to exercise there. Toilets near the basket ball courts need upgrading.

One of the best parks on the east. Basketball courts, net ball courts, skate parks, lakes, playgrounds, BBQ areas, running track. It has everything!

This is a park with surrounding trails, which is very suitable for families to take walks, sports, picnics, dog walks, large grasslands, chairs, and facilities.

Beautiful, nature pond area for ducks/wildlife. Park fairly large, can walk through to next block. Also Great to unwind/relax/ refresh during/after hospital visit or appointments.

Nice open parkland and walkways, easy to get around and social distance too. Bit sparse landscaping in some areas but the main garden areas (and pond) are beautiful—good for duck spotting!
