7A very friendly, quality country bakery with all the staples you might be looking for. Great hygiene with sandwiches and pastries always made and handled with gloves. I love to be able to make my own roll or sandwich, with lots of filling and bread choices. Hot pies and sausage rolls, ready to eat in or takeaway. Lots of home-baked, sweet treats available too - vanilla slice, custard tarts, scones jam and cream, doughnuts, etc. A good selection of coffees and cold drinks, including homemade milkshakes, iced coffees, etc. Seating available onside and outside under unbrellas. Very friendly staff who look after you. Thank you so much, ladies of Bouwmeesters Bakery! A credit to Benalla. We'll be back!
Hands down the worst chicken pie I have ever had. Greasy, soggy pastry and no flavour at all. Egg and bacon roll $9.50 and didn't even have any sauce on it.unfriendly staff.
Very friendly customer service. Vanilla slice is better than Beechworth bakery, Honey cream, choc slice, is also very good quality. Coming from Brunswick cafe mecca, this place is definitely very high quality.
The staff was rude and arrogant when I asked if they had any gluten free options, not even gluten free bread for a sandwich! Wouldn't recommend if your gluten free!
Don't know what Toby's problem was but take it with a pinch of salt It's a lovely cafe/bakery with kind friendly staff, we all have our 'off' days. Good choice of lunch options as well as usual bakery goods. Pies & other hot options, wraps, filled rolls & sweet tooth options. Give them a go!
Take away lunches, inc Scalloped potatoes, broccoli & cauliflower morney are available from 11.30 and are delicious
Each of my last 6 visits, Staff are far too arrogant to be serving food this average (and that's if they get you order correct). Benalla folk seem to like the place - im guessing the positive staff reviews are well known to the staff, if your from out of town, go to the bakeries either side for better food and service.if it was the last place open in town, Drive to Wangaratta
