Bourke Street Mall reviews
35It's Bourke St Melbourne. Gosh l grew up here. Sadly so many old buildings have disappeared. Hope they keep facades. Dunklings the jewellers a fond job l had there.
Always vibrant and bustling with people. BOURKE ST MALL is the place to visit when in Melbourne.
Melbourne's shopping epicentre. All the major anchor-stores in the heart of the CBD. Clean, inviting and with a bustling, friendly culture.
Let's hope the Bourke Street mall recovers to its pre-covid times. It is an important centre of the Melbourne CBD
Australian classic. Suitable for all ages. A wonderful place and always something new to see taste buy or experience. If you have guestß it's a must!
It feels safe in town as nearly everyone is wearing a mask on the street and the cleaning crews are about but seem fewer than before. The stores are talking great care.
Lovely, relaxing for everybody, everyday. Must go & enjoy fantastic street performers, music, songs, arts.
To many ppl this time people walking in front of trams with there head phones on not paying attention to where they are afford it stay home save your money shop local
Nice clean mall. Easy to navigate and good access to public transport. Quite like the seats which can turn as you can move away from the sun in your eyes.
Always love at Christmas time the Myer window does a brilliant display of an interesting subject for people to flick to to to see. This year was another great display of the Gumnut Babies.
In the heart of Melbourne CBD all your fashion needs are well and truely catered for. Always filled with sorts of enjoyable street performances. Relax have a seat and listen till your hearts content then ride a free tram in the free tram zone. Oh melbourne you’re a beautiful city
Similar to syd centrpoint got 2 big department stores walk through to Myer David jones. Lots cafes convenient safe? Walking area except for 2 terrorism attacks or were they crazy boof heads?
Always something happening. People shopping, protesting, getting hit by trams, busking, shopping, singing, fighting. All being captured by thousands of mobile phones.
Has everything you need - food, drinks, clothes, bags, chemist, trams, etc, & even the beautiful Myer windows! Atmosphere lovely but noisy.
Good range of shops, could do with a few more nice cafes. Very busy but sort of adds to the vibrant atmosphere in a way
A trip to the city is not complete unless you visit Bourke St Mall. Busy little area and entry to Myer and David Jones.
Also a nice little area to sit in the sun and listen to the buskers for live entertainment. Remember to give them some coin if you liked their performance:)
It was very busy because of Grand Final Eve. Lots of excitement amongst the fans.
A group of young men were sitting together talking about how they ended up living on the street, it was quite sad.
Busy shopping precedent, the usual big stores, but plenty of smaller interesting ones to capture your interest.stroll down some of the unique arcades
Went to a Chinese restaurant called ‘Dragon Boat’. Was the best food there. Have been there numerous times and couldn’t complain about anything. Foods always delicious and the staff are extremely courteous and efficient to their customers
Interestingly the Melbourne City Council recently passed a ban on smoking within the Bourke St Mall. In effect from 4th October, there's a $100 fine for any infringement.
This specific area is from Elizabeth St up towards Russell St. See attached sign, which are located within the area.
This is one of 11 areas where smoking is banned and may well lead to bans in other areas.
Otherwise the Bourke Street Mall is pretty cool with plenty of seating and buskers to keep everyone entertained.
