Very nice place, food is authentic izakaya style, and priced very well. Sale selection is very good, as well as Japanese whisky.

The food was top tier. Some of the most flavourful mouthfuls I’ve personally enjoyed at a restaurant in Melbourne. Paired with such a lovely vibe in the venue and amazing staff, it truely is a place I will be returning to.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Had the set menu and every dish was delicious and kept getting better and better. A few dishes were served out of order but our waiter went out of their way and took the drinks off the bill without us even considering. My partner also loved the food and was elated with their service and their recommendation when swapping a dish out of the set menu. Couldn't ask for better service and food!

Wow. Just Wow! I had the vegetarian set menu/share, and hands down, as someone who has lived in Japan for 3 months and been there on holiday for a second time, it was the best vegetarian Japanese food I have ever eaten. Every single bite from Lotus root salad, vegetarian gyoza, silken tofu to broccolini with caramel miso sauce was seriously a 10/10! The service was great also. My work colleagues had the fish/meat version of the vegetarian and that also looked great (they also said it was out of this world!).

One of the best restaurant experiences in Melbourne. If you are after an Izakaya style experience with a modern twist, you can't get any better. Staff are really nice and offer great service! Food is amazing aswell

I love this place. If you’re looking for a food orgasm l recommend spicy tuna, kingfish sashimi, grilled butter fish, wagyu tataki and masamune ginjo sake some of the fried dishes r over saturated with sauces

We were recommended this restaurant and it is outstanding. Superb, creative modern Japanese dishes which a have so much flavour and with the best customer service we have experienced in a long time. This place is one of our new favorites and can't wait to return.

Absolutely delicious food, great staff and beautiful venue! We loved our experience. We ordered 4 different dishes. Every single one was exquisite. We were sitting at the bar, just in front of the kitchen team. They were super welcoming, friendly and attentive. I’ll go back for sure and bring some friends with me!

Food and service is impeccable! Plum margarita is a must have too. If you haven’t been, put it on your list. It’s a real gem.

Loved it - it was our second time there and this time was even better than the first. All the first was delicious and the service was spot on.

21/01/23 update - food was still sensational. Service was pretty slow and nowhere near as attentive as previous visits.

I can't praise this restaurant highly enough. Last night was my second visit and this time, we had a group booking for a special birthday so we had the set menu. Every dish was delicious, portions generous and great value at $70 per person, especially considering such high quality food and presentation. The service is also impeccable, with really friendly and efficient staff, who helped make the occasion joyous.

Top notch place. Amazing flavours, and the staff are great. Highly recommend you go there, and the go there again!

Really cool almost hidden place tucked away off carlisle st, has a new york var type feel, was loud but bar level loud so could still talk.

The food, oh my lord it was exceptional, HIGHLY reccomend trying this place at least once, you will want to go back again to try everything else!

Great Japanese feel, and for DBZ fans it was playing on a massive screen over the large tables.

If you are in balaclava and want some amazing Japanese tasting plates you have to try Bounty Of The Sun. So happy to be local!

I wish I could give more stars and I wish there was a tick box for hell yes in answer to would I recommend to a friend. This place was such a vibe and not just because we’re all excited to be out of lockdown but because their energy is infectious, the food danced on our taste buds and the restaurant set up is on point. Perfect for that hot tinder date meet up or for a group of pals getting together to banter, drink and eat delish food. Highly strongly recommend

There is literally nothing to fault with these guys! Amazing hospitality paired with delish, mouth watering and high addictive Japanese inspired cuisine! This place is a 11/10! Highly recommend… service is also top notch! Amazing people and place it’s a little hidden gem in that area for sure:)
