Bontempo

We enjoyed both the food and the service! It the fire pizza was a standout dish for us.the staff were polite and provided fantastic service. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

I recently dined at Bontempo in Fitzroy, and I must say the food was truly exceptional. Each dish I tried was bursting with amazing flavors, showcasing their culinary expertise. The spicy pizza, in particular, lived up to its name and delivered a fiery kick that spice enthusiasts will appreciate. However, I did find the service to be a bit slow, which slightly affected the overall experience. Additionally, the large emphasis on takeaways seemed to diminish the restaurant's atmosphere. Nevertheless, if you're a food lover seeking outstanding flavors, Bontempo is definitely worth a visit.

Tuesday night and I have just eaten the most disappointing takeaway pizza from this place. Even Dominos can rate 5 star compared to this. Every pizza ordered was disappointing. When I first discovered this place many months ago I was so happy and told everyone about it. I don’t know what happened tonight. Light on fillings, burnt and tasteless. Don’t think we go back after this.

I’ve gotten takeaway several times and the service is always great, the pizzas are made quickly and taste great!:)

Had the pesto fettuccine, absolutely delicious. Great service lovely venue, will definitely be back.

Pizza is a bit bland, but it’s a nice venue if ya out for a date or something. Got takeaway. Pizza was cold when I got to it. Ingredients were sparse. This is definitely overpriced pizza.

King prawn aren’t fresh. Apparently the chef knew that they smelled but thought it’s fine because they aren’t passed the date. Not quite satisfying.

Didn’t bother ordering dessert.

The food is good. It's not out of this world or anything. It is what you'd expect in an Italian restaurant. Good indulgence. The drinks menu is very limited and the dessert menu might as well have been an after thought. Not a great tiramisu and calzone.

Delicious food (antipasto platter and pizza were to die for), great staff, fun atmosphere, and very well priced - well worth a visit!

I'm revising my review as I went back recently and there was lots of cheese. Lots of topping and the same great crust. Well done. Loving this place again. Quality toppings!

Had a great mid-week meal here, and would definitely return! No faults in food, service, ambiance, and price!

I really like the ambience of the place. It gives off a chic modern vibe. The service was great as well. The pizzas on the hand were good, but weren't the best. However factoring the reasonable price, I'd say it's pretty good value. 5/5

Although I didn't try their pasta, I saw other's people's plates and they look good and big portions. The veal snitchel was too thin but ok tasting. Good tiramisu.

Great food, my partner loved her lasagne and the kids loved their pizza. We'll definitely go here again.

Had a delicious pizza here with friends after the last lockdown and it straight away became a firm favourite! Staff are friendly and the pizzas are so nice!

Ordered takeaway Ortolana and Volcaneno pizzas. These are thin crust pizzas with a smoky wood-fire smell and texture. The Ortolana was one of the most interesting and tasty veggie pizzas I've ever had. The Volcaneno is an umami flavour bomb and would be great to be shared in a group (i.e. As a couple of slices in amongst other varieties).

The dough is great as per the cooking skill of the pizza guy, but what "mozzarella" or fiordilatte is ruining the pizza. The quality of the cheese topping is way too low

Never tried a tastier lamb pizza before. I will come back to explore more of their great looking dishes. Delicious

My partner liked his pasta. I didn’t get a photo but my pizza had two cheeses and was very good. Lovely base too as gf w lots of options - even have gf pasta at extra cost. Big room too - great for families or big groups.

Fabulous eatery, friendly staff, fantastic food. Featuring the best four cheese gnocchi we have ever had - impossibly smooth and soft marshmallow pillows of cheesy goodness. Spaghetti Di Mare also decadent with white wine garlic butter coated shellfish. Absolutely coming back for more. Recommended!
