Bon Chicken & Beer

Delicious Korean fried chicken! We usually go half and half boneless. There is plenty of sauce and full of flavour. The spicy is still a bit mild, like a 6/10, but good flavour. If I want saucy fried chicken, this tends to be at the top of the list, but there isn't much crunch because of the amount of sauce they put on it. They mix thigh and breasts, which is nice as it varies the texture. I tend to get tired of eating fried chicken, which is all of one cut.

The tteok bokki is great, the sauce is my ideal consistency, keeps the rice cakes nice and coated. Not too soupy like some places, and not to peppery. Just good spice and heat (8/10). Plenty of rice cake in the serving. They would be a close first / second place for their tteok bokki, so make sure to give it a try!

Their japchae is also a regular order of ours. Probably rated as "Best we have tried in Melbourne" by my partner. Not too dry, and not too oily. Perfect consistency and well cooked noodles.

We always get a kimchi pancake here. Not my favourite, but worth trying to see if its your style. The kimchi has the right amount of sourness that we enjoy it, but it just lacks the crispness and "char" I tend to enjoy in a kimchi pancake.

Service has always been quick, but the staff tend to keep to themselves and you have to ask for water refills and napkins, etc. The videos and music add to the atmosphere, but at times can be a bit loud or distracting for kids. We visit here quite regularly and do enjoy it every time.

No idea why this place has a 4.5-star rating. The battered skin is chewy instead of crispy and there's hardly any meat. The chicken must not have been marinated properly because there's a faint lingering smell when you bite into it. And this was the worst of all - I could taste raw chilli powder in the sweet chilli sauce; who thought not cooking the sauce first was a good idea?

Best Korean fried chicken we’ve ever had! We ordered the boneless chicken half half. Half with the spicy sauce and the other original. Both were fresh, crunchy, and the chicken was juicy as it was cooked to perfection. The spicy sauce was just the right amount of hot and very moreish. Staff were very attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly. Thank you Bon team, we will be back:)

Excellent gluten free Korean fried chicken, plus delicious slaw and properly spicy dipping sauces. Highly recommend.

We always get delivered chicken from Bon chicken and beer. We had dine in this time, we ordered boneless chicken with garlic soy and sweet chilli sauce. The chicken was nice and crispy. We also ordered peach rice wine, it’s good to try if you like sweet.

Best Korea Fried Chicken I have ever eaten in Melbourne. Their chicken meat is freash, as the same for its taste. If you like Asian food, you will love their fish cake as well.

Very good feed and reasonable prices (the beer especially!). Super tasty options, the fried spam was a highlight for me.

Very mixed opinion, food was great but service.not sure where to begin. We made a booking for 8 people only to arrive and be told it was only for 2 even though we had called an hour before hand to double check our reservation? This of course was followed by having almost every single one of our dishes bought out incorrectly and I don't mean something small like the wrong sauce. Completely wrong dishes despite of course checking our order. We were given quesadilla's instead of kimchi pancake. How ever it is a nice little spot clean and has outdoor dining perfect for summer.

Food was in great portion, taste great too. Service was alright but seek for some improvement in terms of food handling that need to care more.

Service-wise, pretty good. Not the warmest but no one's perfect so that's fine. Food arrived quickly too. Food-wise, the fried chicken texture was pretty good. Sweet chilli chicken was okay, but the soy garlic lacked flavour and was a bit more "runny" than I'm used to. We had a fish cake soup that was OK. Price-wise, reasonable. Not bad overall but nothing to write home about.

Soy & Garlic sauce is amazing with Boneless Chicken! And the Spicy is nice, slow burn for those who like a small spice kick.

I came here by myself for dinner, so happy that they allowed me to customise the dish. Cutleries and extra bowls were provided without me asking.

We had a family birthday dinner here. The service was excellent, we were super impressed with our server he was excellent.
The food is delicious and our meals arrived at our table quickly. Would definitely return.

Chicken and beer loved it not greasy at all, very juicy chicken. Seafood pancake was delicious. Really nice atmosphere even my daughter enjoyed the kpop on the big screen.

It was good place. However tonight We ordered 3 meals and the one of the meal, took a 40 mins and the Soup was way too salty.

waited 40 min and approached the counter
guy at counter thought that i ordered chips i never ordered.dull 'sorry about that' is all he said not very apologetic at all.handing me 2 out of 3 dishes only.never going back

In my opinion, this was just okay. The chicken flavours were nice, however a lot of the boneless chicken pieces were more batter than chicken. The service was also very bland. Nice clean restaurant.

The food is great! And the preparation time was minimum. Enjoyed the beautiful open space at the back of the restaurant.
