Bombay Club reviews
28We come here often and the couple who run the restaurant are very friendly and caring. We love the food here especially aloo tikki. They provide tasty dishes at reasonable price. I highly recommend this place for a quiet and nice dinner with family.
Food was delicious. Service was very friendly. Chicken pakora was fresh and crispy. Best keema naan we’ve ever had. We’re from the UK and we will be recommending this place to all our friends!
Pathetic restaurant
I checked menu and ordered tea as
It was there in menu
Beard boy on front desk of restaurant said it will be only served with food
No manners at all
No professional behaviour and too rude
Firstly you guys hardly have customers
Instead of treating customers in welcoming way your staff behave rude
If you don’t want to serve why you would put on the menu, you idiots
And who would have food with tea
Use some commonsense
BIG RED FLAG to this place guys
Biryani was delicious, the owner was really friendly and recommended us a lot of good dishes. Great service and good environment. You will leave with a happy belly
They sell old and stale food- Beware!
One of the worst food. We went for dinner. Seekh kebab were inedible. We waited 55 mins for main course. Crazy atmosphere where other party was waiting for their dinner for over an hour. Breads were nice. We got lentil curry take away. Lentil curry was off. We all got food poisoning. Please stop giving stale food. You should be ashamed for serving and selling stale food. Selling ethics for money!
Atmosphere so lovely and vibrant in this restaurant, the owner is so friendly and really makes you feel at home and comfortable. Food was top notch. We will definitely be coming back here.

We love trying indian food and this place is at the top of our experiences. The food was delicious! And the service was exceptional. Will make it our regular place to go out for dinner:)
Thank you so much to the lovely couple behind it all.
The most amazing Indian food I have ever tasted, hubby has been going there for 27 years and myself 18, no other restaurant compares!
Excellent food. We ordered the deluxe buffet and were not disappointed. We also ordered the special, goat curry. The food & service were great. Definitely coming back. Beautiful owners.
Just had another amazing meal here, the butter chicken is to die for and the burra kebabs are fantastic. Have never found another Indian restaurant as good as the Bombay Club. The owners make you feel like one of the family.
This place is number 1 for best Indian food I have ever had.
I have been coming here since 1996 and to this day, the food and service is outstanding. I highly recommend to everyone who wants the best Indian food in town
Absolutely incredible delicious Indian food, and great service always. We lived overseas for 4 years and craved this the most during that time! Glad to be back enjoying Bombay Club ️
Ever since I have been a young child I have loved the food they have served, All the staff and especially the owners are so friendly and caring to us, they always come out to make us welcome and happy. Also the food is the best Indian food I’ve ever had and l’ve never gone home unhappy with the food. Thank you to the wonderful staff that is making wonderful food every time, keep it up.
Loved the food!
The four of us walked in for dinner on a Tuesday night and were greeted by a friendly man (possibly the owner). There were a couple of tables dining there so we thought the food would have to be okay. We were pleasantly surprised when our food arrived! Loved the entrees as well as the mains! We had
- aloo tikki chaat
- papdi chaat
- tandoori chicken
- chicken kolhapuri
- various Naans
They were all absolutely delicious and were mild like we requested. I struggle with Indian restaurants always serving hot food even after stressing on mild however I didn't have a problem at Bombay Club. One of us asked for hot tandoori mushrooms and got exactly that.
Their portion sizes are a bit small but the quality made up for that. Staff could be more honest/upfront about prices but anyway, that’s just them.
We have visited Bombay Club multiple times and they have always had good food.
Recently, we did catering for 25 people from Bombay Club and it was the best Indian food we ever catered to in Melbourne.
All our guests loved the food, which was a perfect blend of restaurant food and home cooking. The Gulab Jamuns were to die for. The hospitality and the service I got from here was just superb.
Reeta and Narendra ji took care of every detail and I can’t thank them much for that.
One of the BEST Indian meals, I have had.
Can't fault the food or service.
Highly recommend a visit or two
Hidden gem on North Road, walked in late on Sunday night for some dinner and left with a belly full of amazing food!
The restaurant is run by a lovely couple who love food, definitely try aloo tikki, chicken ruabada, goan fish, bagare baingan!
Rotis and naans are fresh off the tandoor and it honestly reminded me of home! ️
Rude staff, i have asked for tea and samosa and they sat no in a rude way which i think it is not a good way.
I think they should behave in a good way.
A+ always loved this place! So tasty and rich. Don't order from DoorDash or Uber and then complain. It's not their fault, they charge this restaurant 33% so you can get cold food!
100% recommend, even with a coupon, was cheaper to ring them and just order the food plus it was super fresh and delicious!
This has been my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne since I first discovered it way back, in 1994!
Over the years I brought so many friends, family, colleagues, and they all loved it!
The whole experience has been the same all these years - the service, food, atmosphere all have a feel an upscale restaurant. When you add moderate pricing to that, it certainly makes it a must visit place.
It is very hard to pick a favourite dish, as all food chef Narender makes is great. Still, i may mention a few.
My favourite dish has been, from the beginning, chicken pakora, but I would also highly recommend:
- bagare baingan (eggplant dish)
- onion chili kulcha (spicy stuffed bread).
I also have to mention friendly smiles of the owners Reeta and Narender Behl, which make you feel like you are visiting their home, rather than their business.
Highly recommended!
