Bodega on High

Had the cola braised roll and also the og bodega. Both where quite good but lacked some citrus/sweetness like pickled onions or more cole flavour to counteract the saltyness. Would still go back. We went at lunch time which was absolutely packed. We sat in the middle of the street eating area which was alot better for my daughter who has a disability. Service was a little rude but was probably due to how fast paced it was on the day.

I went late Jan for the first time and was back again early Feb, that Reuben is like none other. Delicious in-house cooked pastrami and amazing bread. Service has been great, I look forward to coming back again soon.

Cool atmosphere. Good coffee, great food and friendly staff.

What else could want?

Ordered the rueben for take away. Was the only one waiting for a sandwich and i don’t think i’ve ever seen someone move so slowly when making a sandwich. The actual sandwich was alright, not enough sauerkraut and the meat was very fatty.but overall flavours was pretty nice.also $18 for a sandwich is a little steep, especially not in the city

It s just an ordinary sandwich take out shop, I don’t know what’s different to Coles’s except it s hot but prices are so high instead.
It has only got sandwiches option and I need more than that sometimes.

So many choices in Berwick / beaconsfield even Officer now, so many good and variety to choose from.

Staffs weren’t greatly trained either.
I really miss the Vietnamese LVK

Ate here during a busy lunch time on a Saturday. Got the Reuben and it was just so so yummy. Would have liked a wee bit more pickles but that's just personal preference! Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Not gonna lie, it's about time I see a coffee store that is modern, full of good vibes, lively and doesn't look like it was build in 1950s on High Street in Berwick. Big ups to the owner

First timer, asked for one of their overpriced Reuben sandwiches for take away without cheese.
Apparently deleting the cheese was too much of a stretch for Bodega. I lost interest halfway through the long explanation as to why a minor cheese omission would cause a meltdown in the kitchen.

It's one less topping.

I miss LVK even more now.

Staff were really sweet and seemed to work well together! Food was perfect and I can’t wait for more

Went here Friday for lunch and ordered the Italian Hoagie, it was delicious very fresh ingredients although I had quiet a lot of plastic in mine from the meat when they sliced it, which was disappointing, however they were super busy and mistakes happen. I would return to try some other menu items.

The food was delicious, although I must say my husband could’ve done without the addition of a piece of metal foil in his. The staff are very poorly trained and seem more interested in chatting to each other than tending to customers. After notifying our waitperson of the foil in my husband’s meal, she did not apologise - instead just stared at it, advised “I’ll tell the kitchen” and then came back about 10 minutes later to say “we’ve given you a discount. ” Whilst the discount was appreciated, what I would’ve preferred is genuine customer service and an actual apology. We might return, but I’m a bit concerned if this is what the service is going to be like on an ongoing basis.

What a venue. Been there 3 times in a week and am so looking forward to more visits!

They’ve got an awesome selection of sandwiches, and brunch items! Vibe in store is awesome, great style and please do yourself a favor and get the OG Sandwich / the pastrami is out of this planet

It’s about time Berwick got something amazing like Bodega on high! The food was unreal, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and omg the chips YUM. I will be back weekly!

Food was great, we were told there would be 15-20 minute wait. After 30 minutes we only got half the order so I told the blonde girl with the backless white top bringing orders out that we were missing half. She said she would sort it out but went inside and did not come back to us. 40 minutes later I asked her again and she was a bit rude, told us 5 minutes more wait. Then another 10 minutes passed we had to ask her again. The cook who I am assuming is the manager came out and apologised for the wait and gave us free donuts. I would recommend setting up a QR order system and using order numbers not names as there seems to be a bit of confusion. Sandwich was also not toasted when we opened it up but the food was overall great.

We have tried several different sandwiches, all take away. They taste good but unfortunately they are pretty stingy on the fillings - I’d expect a decent amount of meat for an $18 sandwich! I thought it might have been just a one-off which is why we tried a few times but same situation across multiple offerings. Hopefully this improves!
