Blulevel Estimating

After using Blulevel Estimating on multiple occasions I can say without doubt they are a reliable and trustworthy company. I always receive my estimates when I'm told I will, they provide an amazing service and nothing is ever a problem or too hard. The systems they have in place make the initial process efficient and easily accessible. They supply a final breakdown I can give to my clients which is simple enough for them to understand as well as a much more comprehensive version that I can load into my own systems making my life a lot easier. I can definitely recommend Blulevel. 5 stars all the way.

O BOY. O BOY. O BOY. IT CAN'T GET ANY WORSE! Run away before you waste your money and time.

We engaged them to provide Premium estimates, the highest service they offer! However, the itemised estimates were completely wrong. I don't even want to discuss the final estimated cost because it upsets me. It's a complete scam.

We opted for their PREMIUM service, seeking fully itemised estimates, which should be the most comprehensive. Based on my calculations, our development costs should exceed $4,000,000. We decided to involve a couple of quantity surveyors to get a clearer picture of current market conditions and increased prices before accurately estimating the building costs.

One of these surveyors was Rick from Blulevel Estimating.

If your custom build exceeds $50,000, I strongly advise against considering this guy or his team. They've missed more than half of the items and added things our project doesn't have. The pricing is completely unrealistic. For instance, I couldn't find listed prices for external finishing materials, but there's a listed items for brick supply and bricklayer labor, which we don't require. There are also absurd inclusions such as soakage pits and a 10,000L concrete storage water tank, neither of which we need. We have a drainage system, LPD, and a 3000L underground tank. Not to mention the absence of fixtures & fittings – no toilet pans or built-in cisterns were listed. It's a joke of an estimation and a total waste of money and time.

To cut a long story short: It's better to spend your money on your family and reduce the risk of facing liquidation.

I can't say everything is bad; there was one good thing: the speed of their initial response. You request a quote and get it within 5-10 minutes after sending them the project details. However, in the next 20 minutes, you'll receive an invoice demanding full payment upfront. It's almost like a dream, but a nightmare follows. Also, after the issue with the inaccurate estimates, you can only reach Rick via email, with no more answered phone calls, just rude service beyond imagination.

Responsibility, humanity, and professionalism: zero.

I dislike writing reviews, but they genuinely deserve an honest one. Good luck if you choose to engage with these guys, but please remember this review!

I was recommend through another builder friend of mine to help manage my work load. I've been very happyy with his service and have found him to be very helpful with multiple matters. His prompt and his spreadsheets are easy to inturpurt. I'll be a returning customer.

I definitely think this is a great /detailed service that gives not only the Builder but also clients a good framework to base the complete total cost of a build or project on, well before starting. Bluelevel Estimating, spearheaded by Rick, offer a fantastic service. The covid 19 pandemic has burdened the construction and property sector in such a complex and devastating way for so many, that it has left those builders such as mine (who have been fortunate enough to survive it) with no choice but to re-structure overhead systems, one such being the omnipresent layer of estimating. I learnt very quickly how resourceful Rick and his team were and how well versed his company was with the latest in informational technology platforms. Rick's team utilise the most technologically-advanced software for presentation of estimates which in turn sets a platform for fast-tracking of a potential client-builder-relationship. Bluelevel take pride in their work, following up with their clients to determine how they are placed with respect to being awarded a contract. To me, as a Director of a bespoke, high-end building organisation, what it proves is there are in fact services out there that care more for service and reputation therein, than simply a payment for works performed. I could not recommend Bluelevel Estimating more highly.

It is unfortunate we find the need to write a negative review on a business, however considering our dreadful experience with Blu Level Estimating we felt compelled. We were disappointed with the estimate we received as we were astounded by some of the labor rates and misquoted figures. Initially we were going to just wear it and move on until Rick made contact to hear our thoughts on their work. Upon politely letting Rick know our thoughts his attitude immediately changed to that of someone with no professionalism whatsoever. Rick refuses any sort of remuneration for what we feel was money very badly spent. I would strongly advise people against using this company. Rick has even gone to the extent of threatening to give criticism of our business if we were to speak badly of him and Blu Level. Seek advice from someone trusted and don't be fooled into the marketing gimmick that is Blu Level Estimating.

PWG Constructions provided Blulevel Estimating detailed plans and specs for a clients build. The specs are high end. Our intention was to price check our own estimate of costs. While their estimate components were detailed, unfortunately their actual costings came in $1million less than ours. When we queried allowances they had allowed basic level of finishes not what was actually specified and had not costed to the specs. We paid up front also and had to chase to get the finished product. In our opinion service and expertise is lacking.

I have used these guys services to help me get a good guide for my construction costs before I approached a builder. Great service, fast response and reasonably priced. Highly recommend them!
