Blue Whale Motor Inn & Apartments

Rooms were spacious, spa was nice, walked into the bathroom to find empty toilet roll and wrapping on window sill and one ply toilet paper. OMG for $330 a night. Booted specifically here because advertised breakfast but no such thing. New Indian owners ripping off Aussies again. Don't stay here.

6ppl stayed 1night on Friday.
Charged around $470.
I think over-priced.

Equipped kitchen.
Split system in living room.
Bathroom was renovated so it is new.
I used BBQ grill in the facility.
It was working but it need to be proper clean.
Grill side was OK but underneath grease trap was full of oil and debris.
It catches a fire while I am cooking.
There is no water tap, emergency fire blanket or extinguisher around.
I managed put away all the meat out, gas valve off and put the lid on untill fire slowed down.
Luckily no incident happens.
The cleaning of shared BBQ grill only rely on guest (asking clean the grill after use).
Oil catcher is located underneath it.
It was very oily and greasy.
No one even want to touch it.
Owner should maintain better cleaners.

The blue whale was a good experience felt welcomed looked after always my room was cleaned and ready.beautiful scenery around apartements. I recommend for everybody. The family running the blue whale are polite and resolve any problems. Very trustworthy.short walk into town and easy to navigate.

Aircon underpowered for room size. Felt freezing inside in autumn even with all our warm clothes on! No extra heaters. No electric blankets provided despite it saying so in the inclusions. Overpriced for $300 per night, $200 would be a more fair price for off season. Don't come in cold weather

Wouldn’t waste your time even trying to “book in” as ur booking will be cancelled (we booked mid year by the way), partner lost his wallet and called to verify paying on arrival and the lady said she will “put it on our check in file” so that was apparently fine. Travelled 7 hrs went to check in and find ourselves left with no accommodation with 2 kids on a busy classic weekend! Thanks a lot

Great value for money. Family friendly, every room is very spacious: bedrooms, lounge, bathroom! With Kitchen actually can be use. Bathroom is morden and clean.

Don't waste your money by staying in this Motel. The Owner is a nasty person who can't understand English properly. He lacks sympathy, empathy and manners. I unfortunately developed Covid there & I can assure you that my Doona, blanket & pillows where not changed, not dry cleaned or even washed before the new guest came into my room. I would of thought (like other hotels/ motels) that all linen was taken away for cleaning. It is too easy to infect others by not changing the linen, pillows. I apologise to anyone if you develop Covid. Owner is a bully & all he cares about is big $$$'s. Yes, we all like to make money, but when it is at the detriment of other guests, one must question his standards. The cleaning staff are lovely, he does have the minimum staff, he isn't paying 1 man the correct wages, that says a lot about this horrible Owner. I would certainly go elsewhere to stay while holidaying or working in Warrnambool.

Kind and friendly staff, very good corporate deal provided for the business stay, prompt room service.

Quite a comfortable stay, only marred by a little lack of maintenance. A guest should not have to inform management that an outside light wasn't working, thus creating a possible safety hazard. Also, some content in the venue's in-room information folder was not up to date.

Beautiful Motel. Very accommodating owners. All our needs well well addressed. Enjoyed every min there.

We stayed in a room with a spa bath. Everything was very clean, tidy, and spacious. Very pleasant experience staying here, and we would do it again.

Air con leaked all over kitchen bench and then the floor very wet. The manager was useless.no instructions on how to work tv the manager was useless.has no idea on running motel.would not waste my money staying there again.

The room we had was a double room, plenty of room to move around. This was a great spot. We only picked up the key from the front which was quick - that was the only contact we had with any staff.

Rooms were clean and organised. Small kitchenette and place to prepare basic meals. Huge bathroom and shower (no bath though). Highly recommend.

Lovely stay. The lady at the reception was extremely welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending the place for a stay.

Good:
- Excellent Location
- View from the Room was good
- Smart TV

Disliked · Average:
- Decent Room Size - Living, Bedrooms, Bathroom
- Kitchen has 2 gas burners

Poor:
- Entry Door and Bathroom doors jammed it needs immediate repairing
- Carpets does not looks to be cleaned for ages.
- Curtains are not cleaned
- Kitchen has less utensils - Like Pan Lid is missing
- No Kitchen Towels in the Kitchen to dry utensils or clean anything in the room
- Kitchen or Bathroom has no extra Dustbin bag
- Bathroom has no heater (Bathroom Light Heater)
- Bathroom has no Extra soap/shampoo

Very welcoming staff, apartment was very clean and tidy. Lovely hot showers also bed was very comfortable. Will definitely be staying again when visiting Warnambool.

The man at the front desk has absolutely no customer service at all. Was rude and told me to go back to Melbourne when they didn't manage their booking properly and left us with no accomodation. Couldn't understand that after taking our money I wanted them to pay for the replacement accommodation as getting a refund would have taken days to get money back. Now sitting in accommodation with inadequate heating, moisture dripping down the windows and absolutely freezing!

Excellent place to stay with the kids. So clean and comfortable and right in the heart of all the tourism spots. Maybe just need more car parks as when I got back there was nowhere to park the car as all spots had been taken. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone

I am giving 5 start badge to this hotel apartment happily. I stayed one night at this place during easter with my wife and was beyond my expectation! They had a spa bath in room, really enjoyed after long driving. We didn't cook here but they had a oven and some kitchen utensils, so it can be very convenient for those ones who want to stay for a long time.
