Blue Hills Berries & Cherries reviews
42I had been here for cherry picking with my friends. We absolutely loved the experience. We were allowed to roam around freely inside the cherry farm and eat as many cherry as we want. They will also give you a bucket, cherries you carry in that bucket will be weighed and charged 12/kg, but it is worth. I felt the entry fee is cheaper compared to the other cherry picking farm we enquired first. They also have Berry picking here, need to try them some other time.
We had the best time here. The staff is lovely and the orchards are so nice. We picked cherries, strawberries and raspberries. Looking forward to coming back during blueberry season. 10/10 recommend!
Also loved the icecream at the cafe.
Mum and I had a great time picking the cherries, raspberries and strawberries. Staff where friendly and helpful. Took home plenty of berries too! Thank you.
Lovely staff and awesome place to spend time with kids. Call them in advance to find if the type of berries you need is available to pick.
I went for the raspberry picking
Pay $10 for entry fees.
1 hour after looking for the raspberry I got 15 pieces of raspberry.
Nice place to do fruit picking! The entrance fee was $10 pp and for each kg of strawberries you picked you have to pay $10. You can eat as much as you can while picking berries. The rest of the berries are $15 per kg.
Make sure to check their fruit report on website before you go there. Also, the earlier you go the better. Cause there will be more cherries on trees and easier to reach. All in all it was fun and a good half day for us.
Cherries are big and juicy at Bluehill. Always check the fruit report at their website before you go to avoid disappointment and try to be there early to avoid long queue. Had a pleasant cherry picking today. Highly recommended!
Been going here for 5 years, now they charge $10 entry then charge for berries on top of that. Don’t care about locals - just the tourist market. We prefer to buy local and direct to support farmers but this is ridiculous. Complete rip off.all of them.
I visited here in mid December - Blue Hills offer a great cherry picking experience with friendly staff that gives handy tips about how to pick the best cherries. There is an abundance of cherry trees if you go in the right season and cherries are very sweet and fresh here. Great place for family or anyone that just want to enjoy some delicious cherries!
If you love berries and Cherries this is the place to go. You can pick them yourself, buy them at the shop or have a drink at the cafe. The staff is very friendly They also have ample parking and the views are amazing
So expensive now. Paying $10 for entry and $5 for kids as well anything you pick. I understand people eat the berries but if you can guarantee me you don’t spray your berries maybe I will try and eat $10 worth of berries. But that’s a lot of berries. We’ve been coming for years but it’s not the same as it use to be and will look elsewhere moving forward
Very happy with the service we came here with family and friends we really enjoyed specially polite and respectful employees.
Thank you
I came here with my family and some friends I found this place a spectacular and an Awesome service very nice and polite employees specially Kaz she was very helpful thank you very much, and a fantastic place to visit.
Thank you
Highly recommended for cherries picking. The cherries are super sweet and juicy. Staff are very organised and helpful.
We called and asked if BERRIES PICKING is open and available on Christmas Eve few days ago, and they ask us to rest assure and just come and pick whatever we want.
However, when we got there they told us that berries picking is not available and we can only buy packed berries. Waste of time to drive all the way there from the city.
Tips for others: if this happens to you, don't be discouraged. Try to find another berries picking farm as there are plenty around the place.
Went strawberry picking during Easter, they had an extra event of Easter egg hunt on the side. Some people were picking and eating it directly. My advice would be to look behind the shrubs, I tend to get good ones by looking at the back of opposite row which other people would not bother to look.
Loved our experience of berry picking at blue hills berries and cherries.
The staff is lovely and the quality & quantity of berries is amazing.
These strawberries are so juicy and sweet especially when you pick your own. Quaint little cafe selling light refreshments. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities. Good picnic areas but there isn’t much shade so bring along a hat, sunnies and an umbrella for really hot sunny days. Plenty of red dirt so don’t wear white fabric shoes.
Best fruit picking place!
Very nice staff, sweetest strawberries I’ve had in my life, amazing prices.etc
We paid a total of about $30 for the three of us (2 adults + 1 child) and once we entered the farm, we could eat as much as we wanted and we could stay as little and as long as we wanted to! And the ticket included 2x 500g boxes and 1x 250g box that we could take home with us but don’t worry if you want to take more, then you pay about $10 a kilogram.
Advice: a must do in summer, take heaps of sunscreen, hats and caps are also very usefull, lots of water and also, thongs aren’t recommended but i do highly recommend blue hills berries and cherries!
