Blooms The Chemist Essendon Pharmacy (Leake Street)

My family has been using this pharmacy forever. Sadly today my elderly mother left shaking and in tears because she was lectured, spoken down to and made to feel inadequate as a caregiver by the “temporary replacement” pharmacist Minh. Dealing with elderly customers and overcoming confusion while educating patients and caregivers is a must have skill. This pharmacy no longer provides this. Not only did he raise his voice to her but he was extremely condescending and seemed to take great pleasure in detailing how many mistakes she had made. If he had bothered to gather some more information from the customer file there would have been no problem. As her son I went back in to confront this elderly abuser Minh and he took a very different tone with me. Coward. Essendon is a small village and word travels fast. If he speaks to my mother in that tone again there will be significant ramifications. The embarrassing part was the other staff who have been serving us for years apologising behind his back and advising us he was only temporary and has been rude to many other customers. Bring Jeremy back. This is not a good look for Blooms the pharmacy and as such this has been escalated to blooms head office. DO NOT USE THIS BUISNESS

Wonderful service everytime I go to get medical supplies for myself and my family. Jeremy is a wonderful pharmacist and goes above and beyond to help. The retail assistants are all equally wonderful too.

Phoned to check if they had the Covid booster Pfizer Bivalent BA. 4-5 available and I was told yes. So then I booked a time online for this Bivalent. Appointment time was changed by phone by Blooms on the morning of the appointment- checked I could still get the Bivalent BA. 4-5 and was told yes. Then went in to get the shot and no, they don’t have the Bivalent BA. 4-5 available - not until the end of the month. It is still listed as available on their website booking portal. Very misleading and frustrating to be lied to multiple times on the phone and on their website. I get they want to vaccinate people but I would like the most up to date booster available. Do better, Blooms!

Went to get the repeat of a medication I need after having had surgery, after having got the original prescription there previously. The pharmacist, Jeremy, who had served me previously has marked the prescription as having had all it's repeats used up on the first dispension.
This utter incompetence has left me without the prescription I need and would put me out of pocket and having lost my own time to go see a random GP (as the pharmacist today suggested I do) to get a new prescription.

The icing on the cake was the condescending gaslighting when they kept insisting that I must have gone to another chemist at some point for another repeat, even after I'd clearly told them I'd not been anywhere else. Not particularly professional.

Needless to say I won't be going to this incompetent store ever again.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Trina provided absolutely fantastic service and advice for me today. She spent the time to explain everything in detail I needed to know about the product I purchased. I will definately be back.

This Chemist offers such outstanding customer service above and beyond any I have ever encountered in this industry. Everyone is warm and friendly and the advice and help is second to none.

I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, after having used the test and then the CPAP trial, I am feeling 100% improved. (Plenty of energy for my grandsons now) The service, understanding and care was excellent from all staff, in particular Trina and Jeremy, who with there gentle but knowledgeable nature walked me through the whole process, making it a positive experience, highly recommend

I live locally and think we are fortunate to have a pharmacy like this at our small centre. The team are exceptional. Everyone in my family has noticed and commented on their customer service. You will read in the comments here that many know the team members names. That is because they encourage that level of customer engagement.

I have been coming to this pharmacy for a long time and they have always provided great service. However, since it has become Blooms the care, advice, attention to detail and professionalism displayed by all staff is next level! I highly recommend Jeremy and his team to anyone who is looking for a local pharmacy that provides a personal touch and wonderful service.

We frequent both the Essendon North sites, and for many years have valued the advice, compassion and genuine care provided for our family's healthcare.
However I really wanted to post feedback this week because while they aren't a big chain with a massive store, the team really want above and beyond to help our family - when they didn't have tests in stock suggesting other locations, suggesting when to come back again and try, and then finally being able to provide some when they did come in! Thank you so much for the support you provide all year, but particularly at the moment!

I was slightly overwhelmed by the service I received after calling Blooms. Not only were they very patient, friendly and understanding, but they called me back twice over two days with updates on the product I was after. Very helpful, and they made my day!

Had a really great experience with this chemist, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and prompt service. Would definitely be my goto chemist if I lived closer.

As someone who was having trouble sleeping at night, I came to Blooms after hearing over the radio that they do the sleep apnea tests. Diagnosed with severe sleep apnea, pharmacists Trina and Jeremy walked me through the treament process and were very supportive through my time with them. Now I feel that I have more energy throughout my day and have a better outlook at life. Definitely recommend.
