Blessington Street Laundrette reviews
15I went in there to dry my shoes. I understand that some laundary places doesn’t let one dry shoes in the big dryers but atleast it could be communicated by the staff and not just open the dryer in the middle and look at the customer as if nothing happened. We had to start the dryer twice as we didn’t know what was going on. The lady in the front was looking at me clueless as if it stopped and opened itself. I am happy to understand that they stopped it as they wouldn’t allow shoes in there to dry but she Would’ve informed us so we wouldn’t waste money for the second round.
While the staff are friendly, I can’t say the quality of tailoring justifies the $162 I paid only to have my dress pants look like they have a permanent G-String stitched on. Unfortunately, the absence of care or attempt to fix it only augmented the poor quality experience.
Easily best laundromat in st kilda (i have tried them all as well as the ones in elwood and middle park). You don't need to take my word on it you just need to drive past and compare to every other laundromat. 10x busier, because it is 10x as good.when i lived in st kilda, i came here for ten years.the owner rita was always super personable as were the rest of the staff
A well maintained clean laundry. Grab a coffee or bite to eat whilst waiting for your clothes. A thriving little metropolis.
This cute little place has looked after our clothes for the last 5 years at least!
The friendliest team, they really get to know you. Super efficient services (wash & iron and dry clean, clothes repairs etc) great amenity for those using the laundry for self serve also.
We moved to Prahran over 2 years ago but still come back here weekly/fortnightly for all our washing needs. You can’t do better than Blessington St Laundrette
The team here is absolutely amazing. The four ladies that work here are the friendliest people I have ever seen in business. They make you feel like a super star. And most importantly, they do the greatest job on whatever you bring. Highly recommend this place!
Nice clean laundrette but 1/2 price Wednesday is not that. Didn't really care but they should remove the notice.
Extremely good laundry, especially given the inside of the venues' comfort. Perfect to work on your laptop while you wait
This is my go-to laundry! On Wednesday's the washing machines are half price so I manage to wash and dry towels, 1-2 sheet sets (including doona cover and decorative pillow cases), bath mats (in their own washer and dryer), and 3 weeks of clothes for less than $35! You can change your notes at the counter for coins and the staff are always friendly and helpful despite being very busy
A great laundromat plenty of room and machines. Good prices for washing and drying your own and great prices to have them done for you.
At last! A laundrette with proper seats! The others in the area don't have this & are more expensive also with less room & you have to wait whilst others are using the dyer &/or washing machine but not here! Bigger & better! Never go to the"barkly laundry"which of course is located in St Kilda's Barkly st as it doesn't wash & dry properly but still charges you a fortune & so small!
I have many fond memories of good service and friendly banter here. Machines are great as is the location.
I went tonight there to have a look, it was first time, there was a very rude and impolite lady from India as a worker there.
The washing machines here get your clothes very clean, but the dryers don't seem to dry them as fast as other laundrettes in St Kilda. I think this is because the washing machines don't seem to spin the clothes well enough, so they come out quite wet and therefore take longer to dry, which ends up costing you more. Have started going back to the other laundrette.
Not that impressed to be honest. Very expensive compared to what we've paid elsewhere. A week's worth of washing for two people ends up costing us over $15 in washing and drying.
We'll start going for the reduced prices on Wednesday to see what that's like instead.
