Blanket Leaf Picnic Area reviews
9Wonderful place to take a washroom break or a quick lunch with ample of parking space and benches. No dogs allowed though. And due to bad weather recently, they have put a sign for falling trees and soft land.
Walked here from Erskin Fall and to Cora Lynn falls. I prefer having picnics not so close to the road, but all in all is a pleasant area.
Beautiful picnic area with basic toilet facilities. Great for just a picnic stop or the beginning of a bush walk to the spectacular Cora Lynn Cascades.
Good spot in rainforest amid rainforest. No electric or gas BBQ there, but public toilets are. Situated on Realize e falls road.
Nice 30-45 min stroll (4 km return) to cora Lynn cascades (mini fall). Track to fall gets muddy and slippery after rain so be prepared when wet.
8km return track to Examine falls.
Looks decent, has the super basic facilities, like a toilet (though I didn't go in to have a look), benches (shaded and not shaded), an old school bbq pit with a rotating metal plate where you can burn firewood underneath. Has that camping in the outdoors feeling
Nice break area and opportunity to visit the Cora Lyn Cascades which is a series of beautiful waterfalls. There is a toilet on site and numerous benches spread around making it very suitable for lunch breaks when travelling.
The walk to the waterfall is very lengthy (approx 2.5km one way) down often slippery muddy slopes however if you take your time and have a stick or something to help you keep balance, you will be rewarded with a beautiful waterfall which is very photogenic, and not overly well visited meaning if you are going to take photos, you will seldom have anyone ruin your shots unlike the more popular waterfalls such as Erskine and Hopetoun.
Good place to have a break with shade. This place located between Lorne and Erskine Falls. It has very basic toilet facility but very helpful for the situation. Couple of picnic tables available. There is a walking trail from here to Erskine Falls but around 4km. No rubbish bins so you have take your rubbish back. There is a notice for snakes but didn't see any.
Minus the 3 rude women that arrived there while me and my partner were eating, its an excellent spot!
