Blackwood Post Office & Cafe reviews
17This has become our go to for amazing sandwiches homemade yummy cakes and consistent wonderful coffee delivered with smiles and love.
Great coffee and friendly staff. The lady who works there is one of the kindest people you could ever meet.
Gorgeous staff, great coffee and passionfruit sponge was to die for! Can’t wait to head back.
Trip to Blackwood post office cafe on Wednesday 10th with BSA club. Warm welcome from hosts and enjoyed toasted sandwiches plus more exotic sandwiches and home made cakes. I think we all enjoyed the feast and especially the wood burning stove in the back garden. Café currently undergoing renovations and this will enhance the seating and enable a more extensive menu. Well worth a visit.
Okay shop usually but very annoying going all the way there and it says open online but it’s actually closed.
Absolutely beautiful meal and location. Perfect place to stop, take a breath and down some delicious cooking. The back outside eating area has some great views.
Dropped in on a a beautiful day. Beautiful humans and friendly service. GREAT COFFEE and DELICIOUS TOASTIES. The pies and sweets looked so good too. Sitting in the garden was peaceful, relaxing and just what I needed. Would stop in again, cannot recommend highly enough. I was really impressed.
Delicious pies, good coffee, great service. An amazing place to stop after a big hike. Highly recommend.
Agree totally with Elywn post.
Didn't even say hello to us whilst we looked around. Then when we stood at the counter they stayed in the back room and never came out or acknowledged us. Never go back 5o Trentham again. Last time pub across the road was a disaster
A cool little shop, great coffee and delicious no-fuss food. Sit out the back and enjoy the spectacular views over the valley. Staff were lovely too.
Friendly Post Office staff make coffee served with humour in the picturesque back yard.
Next door the coffee shop only sells the coffee - not the drink!
Not sure if the couple I encountered owned the place or were employees. The latter might explain disinterest in customers. Very offhand. A far cry from the old general store. With no competition I don’t suppose you have to try very hard
The owners are always very welcoming and can get some great eco conscious gifts and a coffee to go.
It is also a lovely dog friendly cafe with seating out the back so so can sit with your mate and both have a rest.
The place is really nice, they have coffee and refreshments. Also they do sell some nice items. The staff working there is super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area with nice fireplace and fabulous view. It’s a special place indeed.
The owners are so Lovely, great mix of of old & new wares at low prices. Delicious pies, pasties & coffee. We sat out in the back garden with the kookaburras sitting in the tree beside us & there was a fire to take off the chill - lovely country feel
They have a great outdoor area at the back of the store where you can sit and have a snack or whatever you like.
The time we were there, there was an annoying Kooka that kept swooping for our food.
Please do not feed the wildlife.
Does duty as the local post office and general store. Nice local coffee and home made cakes taken in the back court yard garden was nice in the sun.
