Blackbird Cafe Somerville

The service here was so great. A lovely trainee called Raj was working and was so warm and friendly I felt like I would definitely want to come back. A very uplifting soul.

Due to long que in MacDonalds, I went to this cafe other day.had a cappuccino and a breaky roll… coffee was hot and strong as my liking, and breaky roll was delicious

Ordered some scrambled eggs on toast with some bacon and hashbrowns. Couldn’t have tasted better. Always enjoy coming in when I can (or just get hungry)

Not impressed walked in and no one's Said anything to me. I had to get a waiter to sit me at a table and then I didn't get a menu I had to aks for one then I oder it took 20-15 mins for it to come and then when it arrived it was a bit cold and the toast wasn't even toast it was just bread. I probably won't be coming back there. Thanks

My wife and I had breakfast here this morning the food was exceptional cooked just the way I like it. The waitress was very friendly and the food was brought out quickly.

Great little place. Tried their baked eggs, was really good. The ambience and service was also really good. Highly recommended!

Went for a quiet solo brunch the other day. I was happy with my experience. The location and atmosphere was nice. The Eggs Florentine was some of the best I've had and the staff working that day were friendly, welcoming and served the coffee and food promptly.

The food here is excellent and the staff are so friendly, this wonderful girl Miranda took our orders and waited our food, splendid service from the waitress.

Ordered smashed avo on toast from doordash, was received cold and the picture showed two slices of toast however only received one.

Absolutely fantastic service, food, and atmosphere. The HSP was amazing, and the fish and chips were some of the best I've ever tasted. We'll be back soon!

My wife and I had breakfast at big bird this morning, we had a big breaky and eggs on toast with coffee. Everything was delicious. Very friendly staff and a great vibe. Definitely recommend trying out breaky or lunch.

Between stale buns, burnt burger patties, unwiped tables and slow service, don't think it's somewhere we would go again

Wasn’t impressed

I visited for the first time last Thursday for lunch and went back on the Friday for lunch again. Had breakfast there on the Saturday morning. The Omelet was just the right size and delicious.
The flat white coffee was excellent and nice and hot, which is a rarity these days.
My lunch meal was the avocado cheese and spinach with a very nice salad and subtle dressing. Pricing was very reasonable and provided very good value. The staff are extremely friendly and the chef is a fair dinkum one who obviously has a lot of pride.
I will be going back to try some of the other dishes this weekend.

Every meal is super delicious and I love the various curries and best coffee too and the owner and staff are always friendly and up for a chat

Breakfast was okay, nice tasting but nothing special. Unfortunately it was a long wait for food in which we saw people arrive, eat and leave in the time between us ordering and getting our food…

Come in for take away coffee ever weekend the staff are very friendly especially the owner/ manager (not quite sure what one she is) she has learnt my exact order and starts making it before I even order. Me and my partner finally decided to sit in and try the breakfast and let me tell you it did not disappoint came out quickly and tasted great coffee was delicious too.
