Black Bull Pro-Shop / Mal McKenna Golf

I very much enjoyed playing this links style golf course. The fairways were in excellent condition, as were the bunkers and greens.

The greens rolled true and were a little quick when putting down the slope. The practice facilities consisted of undercover driving range, chipping, and a bunker practice area.

The golf pro shop staff were very professional and friendly, and the shop carried a large selection of golfing equipment and accessories, etc.

I look forward to playing this golf course again in the future.

Not happy with the treatment received by the course attendant, very foggy on the day for the first 4 holes was not advised of a time limit for the course. Told to stop playing as holding up other golfers, felt I was being discriminated against. Would not recommend if you are an average golfer.

One of the best Golf course in Melb, No wonder they were ranke within the top 30 Top 100 Golf Courses in Aussie 2022. Not only a well maintained course, the online booking were super easy. As a my top review given to their staff all of them are very nice knowledgeable and helpful people. I was welcomed well and they thanked me even before I left the course. The Pro shop worth to buy their unique merchandises. Fairway felt very soft, green is super fast. The pace of played are awesome though it was during Australian Day. Great course, fantastic staff at the beginning of the day, I made a mistake paying full price whilst staying at the Sebel. Afternoon pro shop person was terribly unhelpful, rude and obnoxious when I asked for help. It was fixed up thanks to some quick help from someone else. Not sure about returning.

Good course, pretty tough, perhaps too hard for me.
You need a straight long game, and accurate short game with ability to hit a high short shot
Plenty of bunkers to stay away from
Greens were nice tough!

Love the course. Had a big rain band early morning but the course held up well. Greens a little damaged by people not repairing their pitch marks.

First game at the course and the pro shop couldn't have been friendlier. Course was in great nick just as cobram barooga is but with a few more fairway bunkers and a heap more water hazards. I was having a beer after the game and someone handed in my 2 wedges that I left on the 18th. Pro shop came around and promptly found me so I was very happy seeing I would have lost a bit of money replacing them. Couldn't recommend more. Good vibes

Course is in really good condition. Fair ways and greens kept just perfect. Office was friendly and happy to help. Plenty of things to look at and purchase in the pro shop. Beer cold ready to go, got food ready to go also.

Played Black Bull at Easter and staff were fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Ordered a new golf top in for me, rang when it arrived and posted it to me all in a very short amount of time. They went way above and beyond the expected and look forward to going back to play the beautiful course again soon.

Amazing day, spectacular golf course with staff to match. We were treaded to a cracking day. I have to say I loved this place and I do not have a bad word to say. Put this one on the list.

Great course, good little pro shop. Make sure you bring some spare coin for some cool memorabilia.

Nice plush fairways with good consistent grass coverage, the greens are challenging and plug well. Playing a round here is worth it, the only thing the course lacks is shade.

Really friendly team there. Fresh sandwiches and good variety. Plus a nice cold drink to suit what you want before or after!

What a brilliant golf experience. Great friendly service in a great environment from the moment we walked in the door. The pro shop team were actually pleased to see us back from isolation and welcomed us as first timers. Fantastic golf course in great condition that will absolutely get you back. See you again soon

Course was very good with staff giving tips prior to hit off. However there were no showers to use after the round which down grades the course especially if your are going straight home to Melbourne

Friendly and professional. Familiarised players with local environment and assisted with any issues.

I have played most of the golf courses in the surrounding area's and would say they are all fairly good but this course stands out as being challenging for both low handicappers and beginners, well maintained with all the facilities a golfer needs such as a practice area driving range and putting green. The pro shop is well equipped with nice modern gear with very friendly helpful staff. It's difficult to think of anything negative about this golf club, We my wife and daughter are all looking forward to play there again soon and when the Sebel hotel will be finished it will be an absolute must to stay and play.
