Birralee Primary School reviews
15I was a student last year the teachers were really nice but the administering team was kinda mid overall good school but also kinda cool, enjoyed my stay
My son got bulled By someone's kid named Reanna, I would like to speak to the mother about this because this is unacceptable
We moved to this area specifically because of this school, and it has exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Principle Ashley Ryan is an incredible leader who creates a welcoming and engaging environment for the children. He genuinely cares about their wellbeing and fosters a positive and respectful atmosphere that is both fun and educational. Our daughter's transition to this school was incredibly smooth, and she now looks forward to going to school every day. Overall, we cannot recommend this school enough. The combination of outstanding leadership, caring staff, and a welcoming environment make this school truly exceptional. Thank you, principle Ashley Ryan and the staff, for providing such a wonderful educational experience for our daughter!
A school that not only produce results, but also places a strong emphasise on kindness and treating each other with respect. The kids I encountered at Birralee are very polite and well-mannered!
The school is lack of support to special need children, both mentally and academically. They could identify you as EAL student and get funding from gov but won't put you in any EAL support.
During 2020/2021 the NAPLAN results dropped, the principal claimed losing good students to private school for scholarship, yet in fact, the school did minimal to develop a child. There was only 30-60mins a day during most remote learning period. Some of materials are random, copying from somewhere inappropriate to the student' learning ability. It was not providing value to learning, no extended learning to some advance student either, unless you are at least 2 year above the level. This disadvantage to some student who is anything from 1-2 year advance. While other schools in Manningham putting extra efforts in remote learning and communications to parents, Birralee just sat back. As a parents we spent our time to fill in the gap. It is very disappointed the leadership of the school.
The school claimed they are inclusive, but they are selectively inclusive. If you are non-English speaking background, if you have slow development child in certain area, eg, language, Autism/NDIS, etc, this school is not your best choice.
Insufficent support given to student with special needs. Unwillingness to work with parents to make necessary adjustment to accomodate the needed change to assist in the student's learning needs. Less open to external therapist's input would hinder the student's progress.
The principal is the person who very helpful, and nice i had ever met.
He helped my kids alot, i could see him very responsible, and replied email fast.
Thank him so much.
I came to change my previous review about birralee but I had no idea how to edit it. Therefore I review it again as I think this school deserves five stars rating comparing with some expensive private schools. We want to come back if possible as we had the most lovely, caring, humorous, kind and knowledgeable principal. Maybe we can’t find a better school in Melbourne. I guess All the kids love the principal! And a lot of good and teachers are so passionate with their jobs.
Birralee primary school is very good school and very nice teacher and very good principal and have lots of fun
An amazing School, Ashley Ryan the principal has the well being of his students at the heart of everything he does, both of my children attended here and I am so glad that they did.
Fantastic local primary school, our 3 boys completed their primary school education at Birralee, couldn't be happier with the teaching quality and engagement.
Birralee is an excellent learning space, teachers and programs are of very high quality. The principal team display professionalism and are always honourable and supportive. What is not right or honest is the minority of parents who are habitually rude, demanding or disrespectful, engaging in personal attacks on teachers and administrators, demeaning and threatening them. They repeatedly violate the school’s policies, values, and norms of conduct. It is these people who feel it is justifiable to share their relative opinion or bias. It is also these people who blame and justify or even more alarming, believe they are broadcasting a valid 'concern' that they have identified within the school. Please think about the role model you are being for your children, they are the ones who suffer the most. It is always easy to believe our own irrational thinking, it is more uncomfortable to reflect on our own weakness. What is done in the dark, shines in the light. Choose integrity and honesty.
Arrogant and unfriendly, lack of care.
They made every effort to get child in need to turn away the school. No support to kid who need extra help to catch up. Bullying to problem student.
The principal and assistant principal are perfect, they deserve five stars. But some of the teachers are awful and tricky. Too many stories.
