The wetlands are great to walk around but this bird hide is a waste of time - it's a typical "public bird hide" - not near enough to the ponds to actually see any birds! What a waste of effort and money to build it.
Beautiful area with some pleasant views over the wetlands. Quite an array of wildlife and great for bird watching. The walk here can be quite wet during certain months, so ensure adequate footwear!
Besides the takeaway rubbish that people had left at the Bird Hide. I love visiting this place to relax & allow the hours to drift by while listening to all the gorgeous bird noises and to allow those bird noises to drown out the car noises from the Monash Fwy as well as the noises from children playing nearby
Due to the weather it was very muddy, but worth a visit if you have never been.
