Birches Early Learning Centre

The service and care at Birches is exceptional. Our daughter has been attending Birches since 2022 and it has been a wonderful experience for her. All of the staff are incredibly personable, caring and diligent. They ensure no detail is overlooked to provide the best care for all of the children.

Both of my boys go to Birches Ormond from the second week we settled in the city. We love the programs and offerings! Staffs are super friendly and helpful, we get daily updates and regular development reports from the educators, we are very grateful to be part of Birches family.

I love this place and so does my child. As a parent I deeply appreciate the staff being nice and caring, and the Director of birches early learning really cares about the children and works with the parents. The facility is well thought of, rooms separated to keep the ages apart, but structured so that the teachers are able to help each other out. My baby is happy and that makes me a happy parent.

I had a wonderful experience with Birches Early Learning Centre. The staff was incredibly caring and attentive to the needs of the children. The center's facilities were clean, safe, and designed to foster a positive learning environment. My child thoroughly enjoyed the time there and learned a lot through engaging activities. I highly recommend this Learning Centre to any parent seeking a nurturing and educational space for their little ones. Kudos to the manager for the outstanding work in making Birches Early Learning Centre such a wonderful place.

We are extremely happy with Birches as a daycare for our son. The staff are lovely and it has a really intimate feel. They also emphasis the Reggio Emillia education philosophy which we were looking for and are really impressed with so far. Highly recommend!

Birches is the warmest most inclusive childcare. The carers and director are exceptional. They have a beautiful nurturing relationship with every child. Loved the small classes and minimal staff turnover. The childcare itself is beautiful with a massive yard, and you can see joy radiating in all the children. Only regret is that we didn’t find this place sooner!

My kid enjoys and loves going to Birches Early learning Centre. The staffs are really awesome and encourages the kids a lot and keep them engaged. They come up with Innovative ideas and make the kids enjoy and learn a lot.

Cannot recommend Birches Ormond enough thanks to the Centre Director Sammy and her staff. Sammy is there every day – out in the rooms- knowing the children and making sure their individual needs are met. The care given and attention to detail is above and beyond. My son (3) absolutely loves going to “school” and a huge bonus the physical changes that have recently been to the centre. Its clean with beautiful, new, quality furniture and toys. The program is great and I feel so confident knowing my son is getting the best opportunity to learn and excel. The food is amazing- the things my fussy eater is enjoying is wonderful. I can go to work everyday knowing he is being loved and cared for.

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review online so bare with me! I just wanted to express our appreciation to Sammy and the girls at Birches Ormond for their incredible support and communication since taking over this week. The changes we have seen already are amazing and the communication between staff and ourself is truely appreciated considering I’m such an anxious mum. I can’t wait to see what else you do next. As a first time mum, choosing the right centre for my daughter was extremely hard, i then was notified that the centre was being sold, i was so worried about how things were going to change and the fear of all the beautiful staff leaving, but it has been the complete opposite, i walked in Monday morning and was greeted by the new centre manager Sammy with a welcoming smile, she was very warm and happy to answer all my questions, they have already made so many positive changes to the centre. I could not recommend this centre more the teachers are truly beautiful and really care about us as a family. One grateful Mum x

I have spent the past 2 weeks visiting various Early Learning Centres in my local area trying to find the perfect fit for our son. Ormond was the 4th tour I went on and as soon as I walked through the doors I fell in love. The staff are so incredibly welcoming and made me feel at ease from the get go and the service itself has such a homely feeling. I could not recommend Birches Ormond more if I tired.

Birches is such a hidden gem! I looked at many centres in the Chadstone / Caulfield / Glen Huntly/ Ormond area and Birches was the stand out. The educators are all exceptional. They are kind and gentle, consistent with routines and expectations and always creating new and exciting learning activities for my daughter. She settled in so quickly because of the amazing staff. The director Sammy is brilliant. She knows all the children well and is flexible to have their needs met, nothing is too much trouble. I couldn't have asked for a more patient person to calm my fears of putting my only child into care.which was super scary! The centre is small enough that everyone knows my daughter and greets her by name, feels like a second home. I'm so glad I found Birches for her!

Our experience with Sammy and the girls at Birches has been so positive. The staff are always going above and beyond to care for and nurture my little girl. Drop offs are now stress free, so thank you!

After a difficult start at another centre the move to Birches has completely changed the boys attitude to being left.
From the caring greetings each morning from the centre director Sammy to the lovely carers that provide fabulous feedback at pickup. My 3 year old runs into ‘Sammy’s home’ each morning without a backward glance and my 1 year olds time in the baby’s room is comforting and caring. This is amazing for a baby that doesn’t like being left by mum.
I feel relaxed during the day now, knowing my boys are so happy and well cared for. Thank you Sammy and your fabulous staff.
