Billy Nye Art

Billy is a wonderfully supportive and talented teacher. I have learnt so much in a short time and am extremely grateful to have met her. Having lost my printmaking aunt last year I really wanted to learn printmaking in her memory. Billy has told me what I need, helped me learn about negative spaces and the complexities of the different papers, inks and process. It’s a technical hobby and I feel so blessed to have met such a wonderful mentor and now friend. Thank you Billy - I’m looking forward to using more techniques and continuing to learn from you.

Billy Nye is a stand out Artist of her time, her Painting and Linocut’s of Mornington Peninsula areas such as Oliver’s Hill and Davey’s bay are iconic, all with striking linear compositions, you can smell the salt and ocean breeze though her work!
