So accommodating! I wanted to make my own chorizo, the butcher happily sold me what I needed, and gave me a lesson on using sausage casing which was really helpful. They were so nice that I bought French lamb cutlets and a tasty jar of locally made sauce whilst I was there, and I’m glad I did. 7 minutes in the air fryer and the cutlets were so juicy, there’s plenty of meat on them and very little fat. The sauce was yummy too; a mild smokey flavour with a delicate heat that sneaks up on you. Not only is it great as an accompaniment, but a delicious salad topping used in place of dressing, especially with the addition of guacamole.
I ordered free range turkey and ham for Christmas. The turkey was so delicious. I only put salt and olive oil and roasted in the oven. Even my husband who doesn't like turkey really enjoyed it. And my sister who's an amazing cook also loved the turkey and especially commented on the quality of it. The ham was also yummy. Excellent meats! Thank you.
The staff are genuinely lovely people, the meat is bloody delicious and importantly free range and they also make cabana sausages that (for me) have changed the cabana world!
Best butchers in Melbourne. Sometimes I have to get last minute meat from butchers in Kew and Hawthorn. Bills are much better. Every product they sell is amazing.
Great staff, knowledgeable, were able to help with my dry aging questions and quickly cut me up a custom slab of beef to fit my needs.
Very helpful when you aren't quite sure what you need. And it's good to know it's all free range.
