BIG4 Wye River Holiday Park

Absolutely best place to spend the Summer holidays. Everything you need within walking distance, with all sorts of activities for kids & adults all week.

Stopped off for a coffee and a snack at the General Store. Wish we'd had more time to sty and enjoy this fabulous place. Maybe get back one day.

Amazing place for location as river meets the sea a convenience store and firewood however i wud say be carefull wen choosing ur campsite as there are alot of muddy areas so ensure u bring a tarp its a shame alot of the sites have lost there grass so thats 1 improvement second improvement is if ur gona hire a firepit its a shame u have to wait hours for it to be delivered.i think bring ur own firepit save money unless they can improve and deliver it strait away.apart from that there was a man working there he was fantastic! He told me to move to a grassy area and ditch the muddy site which is what you call 10: 10 customer service the girl at the reception had no idea what she was doing but she did try to help atleast i wud definitly stay here again!

This place is exvellent.beautifull location, freindly staff, all amenities would seem brand new.local wildlife - parrots and roos wander the grounds and interact with the campers.loved it.used the park as a based to explore the GOR from Torquay to Apollo Bay. 100m walk for a pub meal overlooking the ocean. After 3 nights I was sorry to have to leave.

Got the glamping package for the Great Ocean Road marathon. Was an absolutely amazing weekend, really happy with the whole experience. And the holiday park is great as well, spotless facilities and heaven for the kids!

A fantastic almost self-contained park.

Check In: Smooth and friendly providing all the info we needed and gave us the best available position to suit our van size etc.

Site: Nice wide roads allowing for easy reversing with the river on our doorstep. Plenty of ducks and kangaroos visiting us.

Amenities: New toilets blocks new and very clean with a seperate family one to safely take your little guys for washes and toilets. All new washers and driers with tap and go payment. The camp kitchens are awesome to say the least.an indoor and semi outdoor all new.

There is an activities centre and games room with anything from car racing to air hockey. Peddle karts, basketball and beach and water sport hire all available. The river itself is very shallow and would be safe with parents watching for the littlest to play in.

Location: The pub is 50m up the road with a fair range of local beers and awesome views. We didn't try the food as I couldn't find a positive review. There is a sensational grocery store opposite with everything and more available and a cafe serving great food all opposite the beach. Other than that is a 20min drive either way to other shops.

Other Tips: Bring or book a fire pit in the colder months and the local store has plenty of firewood. Don't bother with bikes unless your super steep hill fit. But bring your beach and surf gear and hopefully you will get some waves. Other than that it a fairly self-contact town.

Go Stay There!

Great park, but they squeezed so many sites so close together, none of us had room to even park our cars anywhere. Bit disappointing considering it wasnt the cheapest park to stay at either. Ammenities were good and clean.

Wow, This park was just beautiful! We are from Perth and stayed in many parks along our way and this was a stand out for sure! Everything is awesome! The staff, the facilities, just the whole park! On arrival we met Daniel who was lovely enough to approach us and move us to another spot with a concrete pad and I have to say we think it was the best spot in the park! He then proceeded to find us a Koala, we don't get those in the wild at home! Such a beautiful experience! Cannot recommend thos park highly enough! I'd never heard of Wye River but so glad I have now!?

The Wye river big 4 has the most amazing customer service continuously. Not only a majestic spot but the out of this world customer service make it a holiday of all holidays.
We travel as a family quite a bit and stay at many big 4s but this one stands out by far! I’m so completely impressed and would highly recommend

We attended a wedding at the Hotel and stayed at the Park.
The setting is stunning, the location is ideal and the Park has great facilities for kids; and for old folks as well!

Wonderful holiday destination if you love the beach, birds, and wildlife. Very tranquil care free experience. Love the peace and quiet and frog songs at night.

From the moment you meet the reception staff who have a lovely welcoming smile, you just know you are going to have a good time (The staff are so friendly and hard working they deserve a promotion!). The entire place is just AMAZING. The kitchen, toilets and showers so clean and are cleaned regularly. After staying at other Big 4's and being disappointed I am here writing this review because this Big 4 Wye River has really set the bar high for Big 4. Will definitely stay here again it wad just heaven!

Have stayed at quite a few Big 4s and by far the best. Beautiful scenery, close to beach, surrounded by nature. Great for kids

Excellent caravan park that allows fires in fire pits. Very relaxing spot. Koalas and kangaroos are frequently found in the park.

Wye River is a lovely park, but way over priced. We stayed in a cabin and while it was clean, it was tiny and nearly $500 for two nights!

Summer 2022/23 was our 20th year staying at the Big 4 Wye River Holiday Park! We have lots of family staying in cabins and camping. The park is always beautifully maintained and the staff are super helpful. We would highly recommend this great park.

Child friendly, plenty to see and do. Perfect for animal lovers also. Showers toilets and so forth are also within arms reach in the vicinity. Easy to access. Little shop by the entrance as well as bar and cafe. Mini arcade and playground. 10/10 best camp site i have visited

Amazingly friendly staff throughout our stay. Excellent facilities. Short walk to beach, cafe and local pub. Cafe has a grocery section for all your needs. Lots of things to do for children and adults. I highly recommend this location. You will not be disappointed.

The owners here seem more concerned with making money than the enjoyment and happiness of the people staying here. Amenities are well below the standard that they charge for. If this is a typical example of BIG4, I'd give it a BIG MISS.
