Bharawan Da Dhaba reviews
65Love this place! Food is tasty, flavoursome and affordable. My children love it, so does my husband, which makes it a family favourite and one of the very few everyone agrees on when it's take-away/eat out nights. The staff are friendly, the restaurant itself is very simple to eat in, but it's more about the food than the atmosphere. I recommend if you're looking for a good Indian meal
Worst experience just been there for first time and will never come back again totally unhygienic, dirty tables with leftovers
Best Amritsari Kulche in Melbourne. Authentic Indian taste. But they open very late. 11: 30
Ordered food prior to arriving.
Informed staff I have arrived.
They advised food has not even started to be prepared and they want to make sure you’re here before they start cooking.
How sad.
Food was good. Staff was rude, looking at me she started in Hindi and I had no clue what she was saying. Glasses and food were thrown on my table. Amritsari Kucha was good, but Chole wasn’t good. It will be good if you improve the staff service. If I didn’t have to pay upfront, I would have gone to the bonfire next to it.
Terrible service. Made us wait for 45 minutes for the food and later told us that the chef still hasn’t arrived on asking.
And it’s not the first time that it has happened!
Just ordered the food today. 5 star to the girl who attend the phone kind, humble, felt good while giving order, food always delicious.
If you respect your time, don’t go. They don’t value your order or time. Waited more than 45 minutes, still got up without any food or apology. Unprofessional restaurant people.
We had Butter chicken with rice and butter naan. The food and naan were so yummy, however the restaurant was not very clean.
Ordered amritsari kulcha, it came with water on one side and some oil in it. They forgot to put pickle with the pratha which we order after. There were no cutlery and serviette. Had to go and ring the bell for them to come. Please provide more staff, one poor girl was doing all the work. Do not recommend this place at all. Ridiculous
We have been to this place thrice in last 5 months and found the home style tasty food to be consistent in taste and quality.
Here is how i would rate this place:
5 stars for food, service (no issues with the staff as others mentioned) and rates.
3 stars for ambience -recently done wall papers are coming off already and the door that never latches completely is annoying in windy weather.
Visit this place for tawa paranthas (my fav gobi parantha), daal makhani, 10$ veg thali (only available from 1130 am - 7pm) and veggie noodles my kiddo loves.
Recommeded if you want homely food and are happy with average ambience.
Edit 2023: we have been eating here very frequently esp. Amritsari kulcha, paneer pakodas and veg thali. They are all outstanding.
Melbourne's worst restaurant. Never recommend to anyone. No customer service, tasteless food.
Good service, authentic north Indian food
With an exact amount of spices and a pocket-friendly restaurant.
We order Amritsari Kulcha, butter chicken and lassi.
One of the best chole kulchas I ever had in Melbourne.
Butter chicken was alright.
Was a bit disappointed with the lassi.
Overall decent place to visit North Indian food.
Very good authentic punjabi restaurant. Best amritsari kulcha in melbourne easily. Raman (from the staff) is really friendly aswell. Always welcomes us with a smile and makes us want to come back to dine.
Best chai in east melbourne aswell. But unfortunately paratha is not in the menu. The old chef would make it on request for us but the new one doesnt which is a bit bumming.
4.5/5 stars easily. Realy good experience whenever dining here one of the best indian restaurants in east melbourne.
Very nice place and vibe. Loved amritsari kulcha, took me back to my hometown. The front of house girl was really friendly and hospitable. Tried the veg thali (Shahi panner is a must try). Prices are also great. Will come back for sure…
Very nice customer service specially the front girl is very nice. Best food ever
Try out
Very good place to visit, if u r in melbourne u must try their Kulcha.
And the chef and staff r also very nice.overall positive vibes.
Worst place to be at. Waited for food for more than 1 hour they kept serving the same food we ordered to customers who came after us. Not worth the wait
Smelly and dirty place. Really bad customer service long waits and microwaved food. Not worth going
As I like this restaurant food as I ordered this weekend my dinner as usual for pick up but the girl is on reception doing customer service she just through my food on counter but even she didn’t rply even I said her thanks but she didn’t rply me, not good service
