68Great Indian in Brunswick. Fabulous food and vibe. Unique selection of beers, wines and also non alcoholic beverages.
Nice location and the restaurant has a good ambience. We had the pumpkin, eggplant and a chicken dish. All were a bit cold when served, not spicy and bland. Been twice, probably not again. Quite overpriced.
Really disappointing. The quality of the food was so poor. The prawn curry was horrible, the prawns were so old and overcooked they were hard and we initially thought they had shells on. The other curries, beef ribs and paneer had little if any flavour. The rice was one cup worth. The entrees were terrible too. The vegetarian momo was just a dumpling with samosa filling and the lamb a dumpling with lamb curry filling. Not traditional at all. For the price and small serving sizes the ingredients could at least be fresh and dishes better presented and flavourful. It was a total waste of money.
The food was brilliant, and the wait staff were really friendly and attentive. The guy running the bar was a bit of a downer and gave off the vibe that he really didn’t care to be there, shame paying the bill with him was the last impression we got to leave with.
Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.fantastic place to go out to for indian food and amazing cocktails.
Got both of our orders wrong. Would be great if we had have ordered heavily deep fried trash. Cocktails werent bad though. Wouldn't recommend it.
Food fine, but so noisy that even sitting at a table for 2 we couldn't hear each other speak. Needs insulation urgently!
As we entered we were greeted by 2 team members with such warm and friendly hellos. That set the scene for an amazing experience that we will definitely be back for. The team are all so friendly and helpful. The food was so delicious, and it all came so quickly too. The cocktails are enough on their own to come back for.
Food was very average, meat with sauce on it! Barman was very unfriendly.poor experience. Sorry
Very confused about this place. Great music and cocktails, but the food was a mixed bag. Our entrees of eggplant chips and potato samosas topped with chickpea curry were flavoursome and reasonable. Naans were nice. The main dishes of lamb shank rogan Josh and the chicken korma dish were absolutely lacking any spices or even simple seasoning (hello, salt?), such muted flavours it was bizarre. The chicken was also inexcusably dry.
Luckily we ordered raita, hot and sour pickle and pineapple black pepper chutney, these were fab. Really confused, is it the same person making the main dishes as the raita and chutneys? Do they taste the food?
Tried it and will likely not go back, bit of a shame.
Worst Indian themed cuisine I ever had. The food was a sham and seems like chef just chucked in a handful of spices blindly in a serving.
Love everything about this place.food, ambience, music, and the cocktails. Vegan/veg options are highlights and not a poor cousin.
Highly recommended for a good time.
Truly awful experience here tonight. Would not recommend at all. I was not informed when I made a reservation that we’d be sharing a table with another group. My family had taken a seat when I was walking up and heard the manager (I think) complaining about us being unhappy. Again, if we were informed we wouldn’t have driven an hour to dine here. Very bad customer service. Food was terrible. The worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Could not even call the dhaal a dhaal it was that horrible
Went for a catch up with old high school friends and we had the $55 banquet, none of us left hungry.
Beautiful Indian food that wasn't too spicy considering usually can't stomach anything that is super spicy.
Ohh the Mulled wine at Bhang is SO delicious. The food tastes fantastic and there are lots of vegetarian options. The service was also perfect! Highly recommend:)
We went here for a birthday dinner. The cocktails are fun and interesting. I would recommend you go to try them. The service was friendly and attentive and the decor was interesting. The food on the other hand was boring. I'm repeating what other reviewers have said but it is not Indian cuisine, I think our cocktails had more spices and flavour than the food. Definitely not bhang for your buck.
Exceptionally tasty food and great vibe. I'd highly recommend Tuesday thali special to get a taste of everything with amazing price. I personally wasn't a fan of cocktails because bartenders used juice to top up mine and my cocktail ended up tasting like fruit juice and no sign of Vodka, they also eye balled the measurements which I'm not a fan of in cocktail making. Overall great experience, will be back for food, maybe with wine instead of cocktails.
Updated review: dined here again and the food is bland at best. Goat curry off the bone which lacks flavour and dhal cooked with some sort of Coles brand spices…yuck. Finished off with chewy bland garlic naan. Too many other options in the area to spend my hard earned here.
Simply superb food and drinks. Probably the best Indian diner in Melbourne. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
YUM! They have this chickpea snack that is TO DIE FOR! Could eat it every day. The whiskey sour is hands down the best I have ever had. Ever.
