My mother has been a client with Better Living home care for more than 3 years. The help and support from Our Case Managers and Support staff has been exceptional. At present we have Lakshmi who has excelled in making sure my mother’s needs are met and at the same time supporting my sister and I as Carers. I would not hesitate to recommend this Organisation as a provider for your elderly family member.

I would like to say how happy I am with Lakshmi (Care Manager) for my mum Brenda.
She is always prompt with replies to my emails for services requested to keep mum, who is now 96, in her own home.

Also our wonderful, caring ladies (Pearl and Rosalina) who help mum twice a week.

And recently Better Living dietician (Fiona) who keeps a check on mums dietary needs.

Both mum and I would like to thank them.xxoo

Between October 2019 and Sept 2022, Better Living Homecare (BLH) provided the most appallingly negligent and incompetent care I could ever have imagined for my father (on a Level 4 Homecare package).

We had to deal with almost 3 years of all talk and no action. Repeatedly unfulfilled promises and close to zero being implemented by their staff. The only tasks effectively fulfilled were outsourced tasks, like lawn mowing and delivery of frozen food. Over that time we had 3 Care Managers (CMs) resign from the company, none of which we ever met, as they were all based interstate. We were never informed about each new CM, instead we were left wondering why nothing was being done. When we called to demand services, we would find there was a new CM. Each time it became our families own responsibility to inform the new CM of our fathers needs. Apparently there was almost no background notes available for new CMs to familiarise themselves with our fathers case. It is very clear that this company is totally and utterly incapable of managing homecare.

There were so many more complex problems, caused by BLH's incompetence, that seriously effected my fathers health and our own mental health. While these are inappropriate for me to list here in a public review, these have all been submitted in full to a formal complaint to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. We were forced to do this as BLH did not responded to any of our complaints.

Thankfully we were finally able to shift over to a much better homecare provider, who have in 4 weeks achieved more than BLH were capable of in 3 years! Once moving my father to the new company, they found over $24,000 dollars worth of un-used funding sitting in my fathers homecare account. It appears that for 3 years Better Living Homecare profited far more from my father than they provided to him in homecare services.

If you need anything above Level 1 Homecare, I strongly recommend you stay well away from this company. Better Living Homecare may appear to be 'homecare providers', but to us they are just a self serving business, carefully disguised as such.

Absolutely horrible services.they organised to transport my elderly mother to the hospital via ambulance last night to transition her into a nursing home against her will without discussing it with the family. I am appalled!

I have had a relationship with Better Living Homecare for a number of years now and have always found their service standards and the quality of care to be first rate. Especially from my Care manager Clarissa Whiting and the service providers she organises, manages and provides. I have had no issues of consequence, no complaints to make and recommend Better Living Homecare whole-heartedly.

Horrible horrible customer service!
This organisation is not capable of running an Ndis business and dealing with clients.
What a shocking experience, do yourself a favour and deal with an Ndis organisation that has good reviews & a good reputation at least prior to using their services.

Terrible! Absolutely terrible!
Not only are they incapable of communicating with their clients but they cannot manage basic accounts, explain their statements or explain where all the government allocated funds have gone!

Terrible, cannot communicate, disrespecting customer. Better somewhere else than losing your headache trying to use the service.
