Bentleigh Early Child Education Co-operative reviews
9Our son has been enrolled in the toddler/nursery room for around 5 months now - he absolutely loves going to day care and is constantly asking for his friends and educators on the days he's not there, which is a testamant to the great community at BECEC. The educators and centre managers are so easy to deal with and get along with. All of the children are happy and very well cared for. We couldn't be happier sending our son to BECEC. Thanks for all of your hard work!
We have been fortunate enough to have had our son enrolled at BECEC for the past 9 months in the babies/toddlers room. The educators and staff have been amazing to work with and we know our son is happy, well looked after and safe in a caring and supportive environment. The center has a family like feel and educators have worked with us to ensure our sons needs have been and continue to be catered for. He often doesn't want to leave and come home with us upon pick up which is a testament to BECEC and the service it has to offer! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a small, nurturing and supportive environment for your child.
My son has been at the centre for the past 3 years and we don’t have enough words to say how much we love this place. My husband and I both loved the community feel of the place as well as the educator-child ratio on the tour which was especially important for us as my son started off in the baby room. We love that there is virtually no staff turnover so there is stability for the children and it also says volumes for the staff as they must feel it’s a great place to work.
The educators and office staff are all extremely lovely people who genuinely care and love the children who attend the centre. My family required additional support to work through some difficult times last year (2020 was horrible for everyone!) and the centre went above and beyond to provide that extra support.
My son is quite shy and reserved but he is not shy at all at the centre! He feels safe there and can be his loud, happy self!
After looking at some of the bigger for-profit centres, we stumbled across this little gem of a day care centre. Whilst not as shiny or new as some of the bigger centers, BECEC offers something the bigger centres can't -a sense of community and connection for both the kids and the parents. Being a smaller centre, all staff from all rooms know each child, their routines, likes, dislikes, etc. The almost non-existent turnover of staff also helps with this! The regular family days and events also assist the kids to feel like they belong. The kids spend a lot of time outside in the lovely yards, which is great for those kids that struggle being cooped up inside. My son loves his daycare and so do we!
Our son started in the Sunshine room this year and we are so happy to have him there. The centre feels like family and our boy is so excited to go to daycare. The educators really care about all of the children and they know all of the children in each room. We love that the centre has such a family feel and we know our boy is very cared for and happy.
So happy we found this centre for our son! Best decision we have made. Staff truly have their hearts in their job and the family feel to the centre really sold it for us. Many of the staff have been there over 10 years! Cannot recommendation highly enough.
All of our children attend or have attended this centre and absolutely love it. It's a great small centre with amazing staff. The turnover is very low so most staff members have been there for a long time and really care about the children. It's a home away from home.
BECEC is the third centre we have been to and without a doubt, is absolutely the best centre around! My son loves going here and runs to the centre on child care days. His development has really flourished since attending BECEC, as has his confidence. The centre runs higher levels of educators than needed pursuant to the guidelines, because the quality of care here is the focus, not making a profit!
Every single educator knows all the children's (and parent) names and genuinely care. We are so thrilled to be part of the BECEC community and would highly recommend it.
BECEC is not only a wonderfully supportive workplace but a beautiful community to be apart of. The sense of community and unity that is ingrained into the culture of the centre takes the saying “it takes a village to raise a child” to a whole new level. The history of the centre turns the facade of the building into more than just an older house in Bentleigh, to our communities ‘little house with the blue fence’, our home-away-from-home. As an educator at the centre I feel honoured to walk alongside our families to help educate their children through a holistic, open ended play and interest based approach to early childhood education.
