Arrived at Bellbrae Estate at 3.41pm and before we could even speak we were told that as they closed at 4pm we could only purchase take away bottles. We completely understand if they could not fit us in for a tasting but as we walked in the door we felt like we were not welcome.

What a brilliant experience. Spent the day having pizza in the garden, best l’ve had, wine tour and a few tastings. Immediate purchase of more wine particularly the Pino before heading back down the coast. Such a great experience and highly recommended. See you next time we are down!

Great location, great venue, great wines, great food, great music, great staff. I was blown away at how professional yet friendly the staff were at sharing their knowledge of the wines and giving recommendations to our preferences. The Tetaz and the Chardonnay we had were superb! The rib eye bites and the halloumi cheese were excellent as well. All tied together with some fantastic live music, I definitely will be recommending Bellbrae Estate to all my friends and family.

Was told we couldn't go through Great Ocean Road without visiting Bellbrae Estate.
We booked a table for 6 including kids and everypone had such a fabulous time. Great weather. Great wine. Great atmosphere. Entertainment to set the ambience. Some of the best woodfire pizzas I've had in a long time.
Potentially on the pricey size, but so glad we passed. Highly recommend.

Seemed like a good pit stop on the way to Jan juc.

However staff weren’t very engaging.
I had my dog and was addressed by a Kurt staff member with a “yeah”when asking if it was dog friendly. Tried to engage having travelled from Tasmania - by asking which of the two Pinots was best, answer “obviously the 2018 as it’s older”! Almost dismissive.

Nothing special, many better options unless they employ staff that know how to interact with people.

Better service to be had at the local lemonade stand run by 5 year olds.

Wine was nice but customer service sucked. Had to ask for a tasting, guy behind counter really not interested in trying to sell anything.

Down a t Torquay for a few days. Called into Bellbrae Estate for a sample tipple. Mine host, AJ, was great, talked us through two paddles, whites for Karin and reds for me. The pinot noirs are delicious, ratcheting up in body and flavour. AJ cracked the first bottle of the Tetaz 2020, wearing its shiny gold medal, after I'd bought two of the Bird Rock pinots. Oh boy, bought a bottle of that as well, worth every bit of its top dollar, while AJ fiddled with his argon wine-preservation device to keep the bottle remains in shape. New release, we lucked the first bottle sold. Expect they'll sell quickly. Oh, Karin bought the Chardonnay, but snaffled my pinot tastings as well. But hey, I'm driving.

Really pleasant outdoor coastal winery experience. Great range of wine, food options and super casual. Nice afternoon out.

Very nice wine but unfortunately they use the worst courier company in Australia for deliveries (Aramex rebranded because their old name Fast Way probably had a very bad reputation). No surprise that my online order didn’t arrive and there is no way you can contact or get any response from the courier (or winery)

Welcoming staff, delicious food, comprehensive range of wines to accommodate different palates. Terrific venue for an informal birthday gathering in a great location

We visited the estate on a Sunday with 5 families. We did not book. When we arrived there was an older man organising the table. He walked up to us and in a very abrupt and rude way asked us if we had booked. When we said no, he said very rudely do NOT sit at any tables. We asked if we could just role out blankets and order from there. A big table next to us was not occupied for the whole 2.5 hours we were there. The service was extremely slow and the service we all received particular from the older gentleman, was appalling. As the 5 families we would have spent $500 all up if not more. The pizza, which was an independent guys was amazing! We will not be coming back as this was a horrible experience. We are all for supporting the local businesses but we do think a course in customer service would be beneficial.

Had an absolute fabulous time there on Saturday. Wine tasting lunch with wood fire pizza. Perfect friendly service and tasted 6 wines. Thumbs up to all concerned at the winery. Really do yourself a favour and get down there!

I enjoyed this winery. Quite a pretty scene. Very casual vibe. The wine tastings are a bit different from most other wineries however. You’re given two lists of 6 or 7 wines. They explain the difference but my take on it wa that one is a ‘budget’ wine list and the other I imagine is the ‘premium’ wine list. You can then chose four wines to taste from the two lists and price varies dependent on the wines you taste. Youre given a paddle of said wines to take back to the table which adds to the more chilled out vibe. The only problem with this method was that by the time i finished the tastings, i had forgotten which was which and couldn’t figure out which bottle to buy. I thought it was great that you could add a cheese and biscuit platter to your tasting for the small price of $7.00 though. They also have wood fired pizza available if youre more pekish. All in all, I rate this winery and think it a nice spot to stop on your winery tour or on your way to the coast.

Excellent venue right on the door step of the Great Ocean Road! These guys offer one of the most tranquil outdoor settings you'll ever see which is perfect for this time of year. Would highly recommend!

There is a long wait time for everything. Waited in line for 20+ mins to get our wines for our tasting, waited 40+mins to get our very simple cheese board. We watched the staff trail around for other things and followed up three times so we could have the cheese with our wine tasting. On a cold day this wasn't the best time. Wines were OK.

Wines are delicious - special mention to the Rose. Love the Sunday sessions - live music and wine.

Lovely vineyard with very good wines. Enjoyed the tasting. They explained in detail each wine we tasted. The tasting lasted about an hour. And then got to walk through a vineyard which produced one of the wines we had!

We were lucky as they had live music. Fantastic time.

Thanks to the owners for a great experience!

Good Location. Good variety of wines. Music band (Bayside Drifters) was playing very good music. Those guys are awesome.
Didn't like the food truck that much they had that day.
Surely a bit of food service will take me there again.
