A spectacle of nature. You may encounter thousands of flying foxes, be silent and don't leave rubbish behind.

Fewer flying foxes at the carpark area but lots seen from the road and about 30 along the walking track.

Nice place for a picnic or a stop when walking the trails. Toilets relatively clean. Water fountain. BBQs are not working though due to electric fault (2023/09/24).

Pretty much like the lookout near the Willsmere, in particular see the skyline of city during the sunset

Very nice scenery and great place to kayak. The boat house on the other hand has overpriced pre cooked things for sale so I'd bring your own food and beverages

This is a great place to visit for a stroll or picnic by the Yarra. It's on the Main Yarra Trail if you want to stretch your legs. If you are here at dawn or dusk you can see the local flying fox colony in full flight. There is a car park, electric BBQ and toilet on site.

Really nice park and walks. Picnic area isn't massive but it's nice on a sunny day. Toilet is old and isn't clean.

Great walk around the park and relaxed atmosphere with mates. Wildlife, views and just awesome way to bring the start of the new week in!

Always love a visit to the bat colony. Probably not as many critters there this year compared to previous years, but still worth the visit.

Great park to visit. Walk along the river. Play at the park. Check out the flying foxes sleeping or go at dusk and watch them fly around everywhere.

Fantastic beautiful place on the banks of Yarra River. Good place to dine with a restaurant, swim, rowing and bird watching.

Really enjoyed

The flying fox colony has moved, so you have to walk a little further down the trail this year to see them. Lots of them in the trees and well worth the effort! Great park to visit.

Great place I'm the heart of metro Melbourne. You forget you are so close to the best city in Australia.

10/10

To the bat mobile!
We are lucky the colony lives here! What an awesome, albeit smelly, place!

I absolutely love Bellbird Park, it's been local to me for years.
If not for the way it's being run down in recent years it would receive a 5 star.
So Very sad and disappointing that Parks Victoria are neglecting to maintain our valuable boat landing for all the enthusiastic families and others who live to paddle kayaks, canoes etc from there
Between the seemingly deliberate destruction of a long running and important facility to the lack of lawn maintenavce in the vicinity it would appear that the plan is to delete the ramp and people from accessing such a valuable, health enabling water access.
Very unfortunate/regressive

A rare little island of the bush within Melbourne. The park offers a unique opportunity to see roosting flying foxes and the river walk is lovely in parts. Just be mindful that the path is still quite storm damaged at some points and it can be a scramble. Older people or young families with prams will probably find it impassible.

Well worth a visit to see all the bats either side of the Yarra resting up in the trees during the daytime
