Bellarine Aquatic & Sports Centre

I have enjoyed and liked everything about Bellarine aquatic and sports centre Ocean Grove until recently. I’m a nanny and have taken children to this pool over many years, having no problems until now, now that I am working with an ethnic family. There is an older female life guard that continually comes up to me and the kids telling us off on every single thing, this happening throughout the whole time we are at the pool. At first I thought nothing of it but when it became a weekly thing of this behaviour, it turning our pool experience into something awful and also soon noticing that other families were not being watched as much as we were or even being pulled up a quarter of the time for doing the same things we were being pulled up for (with that myself paying constant attention to the kids I’m caring for, whilst many other parents completely lacking in this and getting away with it), had me thinking that this lady either has something against this family or is a racist. I don’t like to complain or pull the racism card often, but it has gotten to a point that I might soon take it to the managers if it continues.

Went there for a biteto eat and a coffee and the workers where friendly and quick at sevice, so definitely heading back there.

Try to help support local businesses but unfortunately every time we come to this aquatic centre the kids pools are always closed and all lessons held in the big pool because of this which cause over crowding, loud classes and kids not having enough room to receive good quality lessons

Very large aquatic centre. It has many options for both young and old. I recomend this aquatic centre.

Swim staff are fantastic. The receptionist is awful. Certainly not manager of first impressions!

Great facilities for small kids - watersides and water play area are great for keeping little ones entertained
