Bell St Mall reviews
55 I love the mall atmosphere. I like most of the shops there; Somali supermarket where you can find good rice, dates and nuts.
Bakery is great and always busy. Having post office and clinic in this place is also super great.
It's nothing like 5 yrs ago. I can't go shopping at mall any more as we are ran out by africans ect it's become scary
I visit the Post Office, Family Store, and Fish and Chip Shop. It's local and convenient, but I wouldn't be using the ATM at night.
Lots of multicultural choices. ALDI supermarket is good there. Together with Chemist Wearhouse and TAB make this mall become so special.
Lived in the area for years but visited here for the first time today. Medium size with a variety of shops. Cafe, barbers, shoe shop and a great Vinnies which is big, very neat and tidy with a big range of stuff. Aldi is just across the road and a kebab shop.
The chemist and the Tattslotto shop are great. Nothing else here folks. Shame. Oh fish n chips shop is nice. Been there once but I don't really ear fried food.
It was busy but dirty. Looks like they don't have anyone to clean and wipe the tables
Fish and chips are prices from 10 years ago and taste great unlike dalton village shop that os very expensive and can only use cash no cards shifty.
Considering the price of housing in the area I think it could do with a little love not a place you want to be
Probably the oldest mall in Victoria. It will make you think you are in a different world altogether.
Two op shops! Recently updated with solar bench that can wireless charge your phone while you sit! Also has USB port so you can charge your vape
A little bit jaded a little bit faded but the Vinny's is great and the fish and chips are fantastic. Looks can be deceiving with this little gem being close to the housing commission. Everything looks a little bit rough but just like the locals there's a heart of gold within
Unfortunately not a great shopping centre to visit. Rundown and a lot of closed shops. Has potential if some money was spent.
The Bell Street mall is an absolute dump. It's entirely pointless as a shopping district. The kinds of people it attracts are also the lowest tier of person you can encounter. I only really go here when I am at Melbourne Polytechnic. The 2 redeeming qualities of the mall are Little Bliss Coffee Bar which makes a really nice coffee, have a good range of bagels and croissants as well as some lovely sweets such as the Mars cookie and cinnamon scrolls and the vinnies is pretty good. It's a bit of a hidden gem for thrifting, I've found a lot of cool things in there as the mall gets overlooked naturally because it's so terrible.
They are the only reasons to stop here otherwise I would stay well away from this place.
A magical wonderland where your footfall becomes lighter and lighter with every enchanted step until finally, you realise you have entered the fairy realm entirely and, you may never return.
Love what the council have done with the place, if only there was a way to attract more shoppers.
Go at your own risk.
Perhaps consider hiring an armed militia for protection and ensure you are a black belt in several martial arts of your choice.
Me and my sister saw several violent incidents in the space of 30 minutes.
Just go over the hill to burgandy st shops, is safer. That place is not worth the risk.
There are not a lot of shop, s
Open but fish and chips are the best you have supermarket's, cafe, chemist, subway, menwear,
So much potential! Needs a re-do and some street performers, new retailers.can be a great space given the time and money.
We only shopped at Aldis on the other side of Oriel Rd. I haven't been inside of Bell St Mall for several years, so I can't comment more. If it's any help, all the shops are at ground level, and there is plenty of parking, and good disability access. One big plus for the Bell St Mall, is the large number of buses that stop outside, both in Bell St & Oriel Rd; they include the 250,350,513,549, & the 903.
