Belgian Beer Cafe reviews
59 Arrived 8: 45PM on Saturday and we were seated outside. The waitress said she'd being out menus but after 10 minutes of watching her chat with the bar staff we decided to just use the QR code on the bench. Later someone came to clear the table next to us and came back with some water for our table. Eventually our order arrived with the most pathetic 'garlic bread' we've ever seen. Chimay was beautiful as usual, but then it comes out of a bottle so it's hard to mess that up.
$60 for 2 drinks and garlic bread and it's not difficult to see why it's half empty on a warm Saturday night.
If you're in Perth give that one a go, it's in a different league to this branch.
The Belgian Beer Cafe offers an authentic Belgian experience, but the service might be slow during busy periods. Despite this, the extensive beer selection and traditional cuisine, especially the moules-frites, showcase genuine flavors. The rustic decor and cozy ambiance contribute to an immersive Belgian atmosphere, although it can get quite noisy. With occasional live music adding to the charm, the Belgian Beer Cafe remains a go-to destination for beer enthusiasts and those craving a genuine European pub experience.
Went there for a beer. Service was friendly and attentive. I also liked the English connection. $35 was too much for two xpa scooners. Next bar. 3 stars full.
Absolutely love this place. My favourite drink is Boon Kriek Cherry beer on tap! Lovely meals and a service with a smile!
We always have an amazing experience here, this place is dog friendly, not only they lay out separate water bowls for every dog, they refill them regularly, and all service staff keep coming to shower our pooches with extra pats and belly scratches, highly recommended for amazing experience with our furry friends
Food was delicious - had the $20 fish and chips special. Ordered through the app, although it was busy service was still good and wait for food was kept to a minimum. Cool vibes!
Leffe 1 Litre is a must buy! Can't leave this place without trying one of those, also the muscle buckets are insane, and basically anything on their menu is Pure Blast!
Hits my Top 10.
Went for food but not that good Belgium beef burger was boring as no sauce just a mayonnaise beef patty no flavour don’t waste time too boring didn’t even finish it. The bruschetta bread is burnt underneath not very good. The chips were good not many sauces to choose from though. The cheese balls very fantastic I enjoy this one. Go for drinks not food. God bless.
I had the worst experience here today. While drinking beer, I found a bug in the beer and asked the staff, she did nothing and ignored the situation. I never go back again!
Delicious food and superb world class beer. Aussie and other hoppy beers as well as traditional Belgian delights. Went with a family, booked a table and have a really great evening.
Will return again
A great place to try different beer styles, ones that are not sold at regular liquor stores. Lots of tap and bottled beers to choose from. Tastes great too! The only downside is probably the price… not cheap. (I mean it’s understandable as they have to ship it over from overseas)
Very delicious food in a nice setting with very friendly people at the restaurant. We had the Pork Knuckle, the 1kg Mussel Pots Roquefort with blue cheese, cream, and spinach sauce, and the Chicken Parmigiana.
The Peel Knuckle skin is very crispy and is large enough for 2 people.
The Chicken Parmigiana is very nice but the fries stole the show being well seasoned and remaining crispy long into the dinner.
The cheese sauce with the mussel pot is just right, tasty without being too overpowering with tender mussels that were cooked just right.
I have been a big fan of BBC ever since I was living in Dubai… and was super excited to know that they have a branch here. It took forever to finally visit them, and I am glad that I got the same feeling I used to get back in Dubai.
We booked a table to ensure that we will not have an issue, however they do welcome walk-ins as the place wasn’t packed on the weekend.
We were taken to a cute table at the back of the restaurant, and the friendly staff gave us time to go through the digital menu (use the QR code on the table). We ordered their house charcuterie platter Chef's Grazing Plate - paper thin slices of prosciutto, char-grilled spicy bratwurst, surprise bay aged cheddar, house marinated Mount Zero olives, char grilled sour dough, onion jam & caper berries. And Fries & Mayonnaise on the side. I expected the Belgium version of the fries, which are known to be thick … but we got the ones that look more French, the thin ones. Would have preferred the Belgium ones to be honest.
The Grazing Plater goes very well with lager or pilsner, so we ordered the famous Belgium beer Leffe Brune (6.5%abv) & Leffe Blonde (6.6%abv).
The plater was absolutely amazing, and the combination with the beer went so well. Quick & friendly service, nice and quiet place, and just felt like we were secluded from the city despite being in a busy neighborhoud.
It’s a bit pricy, so it makes sense to come here on special occasions.but I’ll definitely come back!
Good venue for a drink and a snack/meal away from the foot traffic up and down Southbank by the river. We often visit when we are in the city.
Discovered by accident and so happy we did. Delicious and varied menu catering for the whole family. The food was quality and the price very reasonable. The lady who greeted and served us was so lovely, friendly and she really made our day. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
A really cool place to unwind after work. There are both local & European brews on tap. It was awesome using a goblet to down your drink!
I went on a weekday so it was relatively quiet but the service was very good. The staff was attentive.
Schnitzel was alright but I enjoyed the eggplant chips. I would go back to try the mussels.
Great place for either local or imported beers. Food selection is not too fancy but quite good taste-wise. Outdoors eats available.
We had a function for 40 people, and the staff here did a great job hosting us. Everything ran so efficiently and smoothly. Would recommend!
I really recommend this for our European guests. A well rounded menu, (obviously centred on Belgian beer:), but there is enough variety to please most tastes; not just in terms of beer but also food. What I saw during my highly enjoyable visit was people enjoying themselves: eating, drinking, chatting, laughing.
As it should be!
I visited a few weeks ago on a Wednesday for lunch. Great day for it. Sat outside and enjoyed a beer and schnitzel. Good food and service.
