Beechworth Visitor Information Centre reviews
35Very nice atmosphere, great historial building, staff member was very helpful to older couple in front wanting various info
Very helpful staff. Lots of local information available inside.
There's a chapel at the back which must be well aged. The honour roll on the walls shows just how much the local population contributed in both world wars.
Was in need of assistance and the lady (wish I could remember her name) was most helpful and caring. Solid five stars. The staff here clearly care deeply about doing their job well.
I came here earlier today. The lovely lady at the counter gave me amazing recommendations - we loved the Beechworth Honey Shop and Billson's brewery! Thanks so much!
We joined a couple of fabulous walking tours hosted by the friendly Bec today. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subjects…the history of Beechworth and Ned Kelly. A super way to start our stay in this lovely, historic town.
Very helpful staff, recommending all the good stuff. Highly recommend the Ned Kelly walking tour that not only goes into the details of Ned’s deeds, but also life in Beechworth during the 1800’s. Tour guide Chris deserves a special mention and an extra 5 stars!
Quick stop in here to see if they had patches available and for sale. Unfortunately this is something they do not stock. Staff were friendly though and they did recommend several activities / locations to checkout around the town.
Thanks
5 Star experience! Beautiful building! The ladies here are amazing with a wealth of historical knowledge of Beechworth. They told us about the historical walk and encouraged us to book at the museum down below the Info Centre. The Centre itself has lots of memorabilia, information of surrounding areas and information on Ned Kelly who was first tried in Beechworth Court House, the historical building opposite. Also some pretty cool Ned Kelly gifts amongst other tourist souvineers. Don't miss a visit here when in the area.
Top service. The lady who served us had actually driven the roads and walked the walks. She really knew the local area intimately and provided very constructive suggestions on what would work for us. How often does this happen?
Great service. I felt that I connected with the person when we discussed dragon boat paddling, as they were a new club. Very knowledgeable staff
Disappointed they didn't have the information I wanted. Just gave me a phone number to ring. Not really helpful at all. Still waiting for a reply from last Wednesday. Not going to happen now.
Very friendly helpful staff, loads of information about beechworth and surrounding areas. Recommended a great coffee shop and woodshed Falls, both were awesome
So helpful & friendly, we were served by Bec & she gave us so much great local information & ideas.
An excellent tourist information centre. Rod was exceptionally helpful with suggesting worthwhile walks and exploration sites for the day, in and around Beechworth. In particular, he recommended the walking tour run by Ian, who was not only informative but passionate and hilariously entertaining. Highly recommended!
The staff, namely Tracey, was super lovely. She gave us really clear directions on how we could drive around to see the Beechworth sites like the Gorge and made some lovely recommendations like the Bilson's Brewery which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you're not too sure what to do at Beechworth, make sure to come here.
The man we spoke to was very helpful with local knowledge and things to do. He was friendly and polite and clearly knew where the attractions were and how to get to them.
I loved the Beechworth Bakery, amazing pies n sweets, the coffee was perfect and the staff were very friendly.
There can be a huge line to get in but it does move quickly and worth the few minutes of waiting.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. We would have missed out on fantastic experiences if we didn't pop in!
Very helpful and willing to send me to a place for further information on a query I had, great results better insight into history of Beechworth, need now to come and stay for a few days and explore qnd question further.
Such friendly and knowledgeable staff man this counter. Whether you are looking for directions or things to do these people have their fingers on the pulse. In this instance they knew which restaurants were again open after the recent COVID lockdown. We also were able to book an informative accompanied History Tour of Beechworth and pick up a number of free informative guides to the region.
