Beechworth Berries reviews
41I took my 6 year old grandson from the city. He was so excited and had so much fun picking strawberries to take home
If you like berries, and like picking, this is the place for you. They do nice ice cream too which you need after a hot shift of fruit picking.
Excellent place for berry picking. Saw a sign for this hidden gem while driving along a road and decided to stop by to check it out. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the strawberries, as it was one of the best and freshest that I have ever eaten. Thank you for the experience!
Great for some of our group to pick strawberries and blackberries, and the rest of us enjoy refreshments. Tastes to suit the family. Strawberry cordial, homemade ice creams, smoothies and others. Only downside was that the berry picking was too high for younger children. See photos.
Visited in mid March, lovely time when the flowers are out. You can pay to pick berries yourself or just buy from the counter already packaged, plus other condiments, jams etc made from the farm itself. Theres a chicken coop on the property and alpacas next door to the farm there too if theyre in the paddock at the time.
High grove berry farm had delayed season opening due to cold weather this year so we came here. Overall not too happy. You walk in, pick your strawberries, pay for what you've picked and you are done, back on the street. The whole experience took less then 10min. A production line.
You are not allowed to eat any strawberries while you pick and he strawberries are quite big so it doesn't take long to pick a punnet of strawberries.
Even though you are not allowed to eat while you pick, people still do it. They are stealing the strawberries and probably don't feel good afterwards about themselves. Thiefs.
I would rather pay more and taste the strawberries while picking them.
On the good side the strawberries were very tasty.
But we are not going back there again. We'll go to woollies instead.
The juiciest, tastiest, most flavoursome strawberries I’ve ever had! We had so much fun picking.
Best Berries in Australia.
Wonderful staff.
Buy punnets or pick your own.
Highly recomend.
Delicious pick your own strawberries. Strawberry ice cream is nice. Open area and covered area if it's raining. Toilets are also available. Minimum amount for picking but easy to pick a lot.
Love love love this place. You can hand pick fresh berries - strawberries everywhere! Or if you are lazy just buy a punnet if the freshest sweetest most delicious strawberries you will find. They have ice cream, jam and sauce to purchase too. Staff are friendly and it’s easy to get a park. Great place to bring kids to. Love everything about this place.
Awesome ice cream, the raspberry is a must try. And the berrys are excellent, which we would have gotten more.
Nice place to pickup berries. We picked strawberries and got really nice ones. No entry fee and you can pay whatever you are picking. Enough parking available and toilet too. Strawberry kg $14. They have some fresh ice cream too. Must try dairy milk with strawberries. Taste good. Good place to hangout with kids on weekend or any day.
Strawberries big and red! The strawberry ice cream is definitely worth a try. When strawberry picking, be selective and take your time. It's easy to fill your basket in 10 mins otherwise.
Cool little berry picking farm. Laid back vibe, not too crowded. Friendly staff and an undercover area with tables to relax for a moment. Drop in!
Came here for my friend on a Sunday drive
Staff were Berry friendly and helpful
Large range of berries to be picked (we only picked strawberries but also had the option to pick raspberries)
Had a little mix up with the payment due to uncharging but I went back in due to it being a local business they need all the support they can get!
We have been going to Beechworth berries for years and always loved the experience. Unfortunately our experience this morning was very poor, the staff were rude, 2 punnets of berries came to $60 and they came down really hard on not eating strawberries while you pick (despite 4 of us only having eaten 1-2 each). We are very disappointed as we really loved the outing and would bring visitors all summer. We will go somewhere else now.
Best Strawberries around, so good to be able to go and pick our own.
We all had a great day in the sun and came home with a few too many but well worth it.
Fantastic experience for the young fella.
The staff we excellent and the fresh ice cream was a treat after being in the sun.
People said kind hearts are the garden and kind deeds are the fruits, and I would say this farm is well illustrating this. The texture and sweetness of their strawberries are overwhelming, the staff are accommodating and the environment is tidy. Stop by to satisfy your craving for berries here! They also have raspberries and blueberries.
I should have picked more on that day, 500g is far from enough.
Ps. They open 8-4 everyday.
Beautiful grounds and quality berries at a decent price. My only suggestion would be to improve the inside shack area. It wasn’t very welcoming dispute such beautiful surrounds. It would’ve been nice to grab a souvenir or something and have had the option for a scone and jam!
Such a wonderful place to visit and your staff and fruit are lovely. We missed visiting you last year but we are so glad we could come back! See you soon Beechworth Berries!
