Great Cafe, but portions are small for what you pay for. They can be a bit more generous with their servings, and although their coffee is excellent, their large size is like a medium everywhere else. Their service is great, but overall, that's why they get 4 instead of 5 stars.

Hot chocolates were indeed large and delicious.
Breakfast pizza was everything I hoped it would be! Absolutely delicious. Generous portion. Will be back again to order this exact item and to try other things.
BLT for my celiac sister was another hit. She could eat all the gf bread (too much for her personally) but she loved the meal in total.
I found this recommendation in a GlutenFree Melb Facebook group and I am very happy with my experience. The restaurant was busy when we arrived and remained so, with a lot of happy returning customers I’m sure.

The coffee I got wasn't really as good as aStd coffee in Melbourne. Had to wait 10min to get a just-okay coffee

Absolutely love Bean in the Woods! One of the only cafe's we go to now because of their huge range of delicious Gluten Free food! You honestly cannot tell it is gluten free, it's fresh and there is an alternative for all the dishes. The staff are incredibly friendly and make each group feel personally looked after. The serving sizes are also incredibly generous, especially for the price! Best cafe in the area.

Came here for a late breakfast and really loved it. The guy that served us was super attentive and helpful even though he was dealing with a million other things. We ordered a big breakfast and asked if we could share it, and he split it up onto seperate plates and even gave us an extra hashbrown for free. Coffee was delicious, and the seating was really comfortable. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for good food and coffee

Great place to go, always greeted like family. The food is delicious and plenty to choose from on the menu. The coffee Is perfect and I am very fussy about my coffee. Thanks to Billy and staff who welcomes you inside no matter how busy he is.

I used to come pretty much every second day to get my coffee with my son in toe in the morning until the day I was spoken to absolutely horribly, looked up and down and told I was the one wrong with my order. I then walked over and told one of the owners or managers who is there daily and says hello to me what happend and he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away? !
I have not been back. I am in the service industry myself and that place is great with service etc. But because of that one encounter that made me feel seriously uncomfortable then to be shrugged off and not one word reply from the manager/owner when it happend. No thanks I'll go elsewhere.
That barrister seriously needs to look at herself the nerve you had to talk to me like that whilst looking me up and down like I was some grub. Your in the service sector. Treat each customer fairly. Believe me if you worked in 5 star service you would know not to treat someone who is in trackies and a hoodie any different to someone in jeans or a suit. In the barristers words ' iv never seen you before so I know your not a regular'

Good atmosphere but Only go there if you are after Gluten-free stuff. Otherwise it's a pretty average cafe with prices on the high side.

In my opinion the menu has too many options, so rather than doing few items really well they are doing a lot of options averagely.

What a great establishment! Billy and his staff are very organised and the food is absolutely delicious. We recently got some Pasta dishes made up for a social event and they were happy to help and provide some beautiful meals for the Ringwood Football Netball Club. They are a great local supporter who help out the community. Go and visit the Cafe and say hi to Billy and his team. They’d love to see you. Thank you Billy! Much appreciated.

Love Bean in the woods! It’s a great halfway point to meet up with friends. The menu is so extensive… you could dine 100 times and not sample everything on the menu! The young staff are great, serves huge and the staff are very obliging with take away boxes. My Ruben was as good as the one I had in New York

Tried the lamb pizza today and all I got was a food poisoning from it. Great way to start the holidays!

Chicken avo wrap was great, perfect amount of filling, but the coffee was very weak, i can only taste milk and i got the large.might be single shot for all sizes

Carbonara meal was very average for $28. Expected better for the price. Average taste and small amount of bacon. Chicken souvlaki had no taste. Again disappointing. Won't be going back.

This place has lots on the menu and best of all so much glutenfree stuff.
So for ceiliacs and non ceiliacs it's a great meeting place for breakfast or lunch.
The food we had was nice, the coffee fine, the service was table which is nice.the only thing I didn't like was the tables were covered in plastic with menus underneath, I assume they probably started this in covid times, but I'd highly hope they go back to normal tables as it really changed the lovely vibe of the place.but other then that great all around and we will be back because of the awesome menu and service

We just stopped in here after going to Bunnings and were provided with such friendly & welcoming service. The food & drinks were fast and delicious and the place was clean & tidy. Will come back!

For a family with a coeliac daughter most items had a Gluten free option.
Highly recommend.

We used to come here regularly but have recently been alerted to some quite draconian "extra fees". Small meal fee.sharing meal fee.sharing cake fee. We asked the staff about it and they said they need to cover their kitchenhand to clean extra dishes! We have never seen fees like this at other cafes. I feel this will hurt their regular customer base. I used to see retirees here during the week, but we feel many of these won't be back. Not sure if we'll be coming back either.
