Outstanding service and perfect results! I first got a dress I had bought to wear to a wedding altered, and she was so lovely and did such a fantastic job that I’ve taken back in two pairs of jeans and some overalls. My mum also took in some bathers. She is just so lovely, well priced and flexible. I’ll be a loyal customer for good now! In fact, I dropped some things in today and while we were in there, my little girl’s butterfly wings broke and she fixed them on the spot, stronger than they were before and didn’t even charge me! Can you get better service than that anywhere? Nope! Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic alterations service. I’ve been back with different items many times, and they are always friendly and clear about what can be done with different garments and fabrics. I took a chance on a discounted designer dress online, and it arrived with the very delicate mesh torn. I thought it was ruined. Be Altered were able to repair it completely at a very reasonable price. Expectations exceeded, I would highly recommend Be Altered!

Absolutely saved the day! I had a terrible alteration done at Eastland and two days before my wedding I took my dress here. The was a huge amount of work done overnight but it came back so much better and beautiful just in time for the wedding! Had my wedding dress altered by BE Altered and had a terrible experience. I picked my dress five days before my wedding and was told I didn't need to try it on as the final alterations were minor (which was true). Two days later I thought I would try it on and I was shocked beyond words. The fabric had been overstretched and the top half of the dress was ruined. I contacted BE Altered and was told it just needed a steam but if I wanted I could pop in the following day and they could have a look. No apologies, no time given of when I could actually have an appointment, nothing. I contacted another local dressmaker and they saw me that day, they explained everything that had gone wrong and completely unpicked the dress and fixed what they could. They felt so bad for me and could not believe someone would hand over a wedding dress in this condition they didn't even charge me.
I would never recommend this company for wedding dress alterations, if a job is outside a person's skillset they should advise the customer not just hope for the best. And if a mistake is made they need to have common decency to tell them and not leave someone in a stressful situation days before their big day. Do not get your wedding dress altered here as they are not pattern makers and are not professional.

Can't recommend Be Altered highly enough. Always greeted with a smile and friendly chat. You can't tell clothing has been altered. Looks like it was when I purchased it.

I picked up 2 school dresses that were hemed. The hem was approximately 25cm underneath for a year 11 student.terrible job. Wouldn’t take anything there! I can do a heaps better job!

New owner in the last 12 months. My wife had her wedding dress altered here and it was unwearable. The work took a long time and it was shoddy workmanship, with mis matched material. The whole situation created stress and anxiety.

Since Be Altered has changed hands, the prices have rocketed. Will not be going back. FAR too expensive.

I had my wedding dress and one of my bridesmaid dresses altered here and I cannot recommend it enough! Friendly, professional and really makes you feel comfortable leaving such important items there. Prices were really affordable and the work was completed really quickly.
