BCF (Boating Camping Fishing) Mentone

Bought a Dometic Fridge here last week which had a noisy compressor. The service and process at BCF to change it over was exemplary. Will be going to this shop again.

Had a young salesman today around 330 pm and he had no time for us or no idea.

My sons camp bed ended up missing a bolt and this was only found out when it was unpacked at the Scout Jamboree so needed to be jerry rigged to be used. A full month later when the camp gear was returned to us, I took the item down to BCF Mentone to see if I could get a spare part for it. The camp bed was fine otherwise - comfortable, easy to use for a 13 year old, otherwise in good condition. Just still dusty, and with his name plastered all over it. The staff member took one look at it and told me they did not have parts for it and just simply swapped it over for a brand new one. Happily even. I told him I wasn't looking for that, just a spare bolt, be he was adamant that the item was not sold fit for purpose and they would be happy to swap it for a new one. He even apologised for the missing bolt which was not his fault. Now THAT is good customer service. The whole issue was sorted out within 10 minutes. I highly recommend a store and its staff that treat customers with respect like this. Well done BCF Mentone. You basically have me for life!

This store is really bad counter staff far to young, did not have a clue, just looked blank waited over 20 minutes for a gas bottle refill, had to check if they had time then said they had no gas, just an excuse as they could not be bothered, no apology for delay, went to another store with better service.

The staff are great.bought some line.walking out and the attendant said they can put on my real at no charge.sooo helpful awesome!

I've been in this store a couple of times this past month and I cannot speak highly enough about the friendliness of the staff. They are all so attentive, friendly, polite, simply perfect customer service.

Super friendly staff, super on point with their covid rules. Good range, but definitely best customer service I've experienced in a long time.

I was surprised how the staff lacked basic knowledge of their products. The main reason I gave them a 1 star was the rude and unfriendly attitude that was experienced from the lady working there. Laughing behind customer's back is plain rude.

A staff member working in that place made me feel very uncomfortable. As if she expects customers to be experts in all products. The whole attitude she had was unacceptable and very pushy. I won't be shopping here anymore and wont advice anyone to do so. The managers should reconsider who they are hiring.

William explained things very well. We were after self inflatable mats. He also gave us good advice on sleeping bags and he took us upstairs to show us the mats in the tents.
