Thank you.

I feel like I’m in a Russian prison when I went there. I had no rights, I felt trapped like the people in that submarine. I could not reach my full potential as they tried brain washing me with godly speech

If you want your child to be happy this is the school for them, Bayside has great educational platform sand accommodates for everyone's needs, In The past I have needed help with numerous things and the school is always right on it with amazing programs (S. T. E. P) for everyone's need whether it may be English, maths and even sport this school also has the kindest teachers ever and amazing students, honestly I would consider my grade like a family:)

I'm posting this from my ALT and i just want to say this is the best school ever. Before i went to bayside, i went to a government funded school.the principal was strict and had no since of how to keep the place clean.there was often paint ripping from the walls inside, and our classroom door was so broken it got caught and almost locked us in.the floor was dirty, the teachers were beyond evil, i had a careless friend who took advantage of my kindness to make me buy him stuff, and sometimes i think it was a FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION because of how bad it was.

Then one day, my parents transferred me to this glorious campus and since then i haven't looked back.the school could never be better.about 97.9% of teachers there are just, the most amazing people.and every year i've had a really nice teacher who i've gotten to know very well.the place is very well presented and done up, the secondary toilets are actually clean, there's a huge oval, a big gym and at the end of this semester we had a sausage sizzle.

The only thing that they really need to work on is handling bullying.
If you stick up to a bully you can get in serious trouble.but if you stay quiet and tell a teacher, the teachers have other ideas.normally i would expect a teacher to tell a bully to "Stay away from this student at all costs" that might sound strict to you, but the way they handle it might make you think twice.
Most of the time I've told on a bully, the teachers seem to have a big idea that the bully and the victim can be "best friends". I even feel like i get grouped on purpose with bullies in activities to encourage that idea.all the times this has happened to me, it's only worked ONCE.so they need to work on the fact that not everyone in the world can be perfect friends.we all have different personalities.and the way the teachers handle it encourages bullying rather than stopping it.

Apart from that it's a great school that I'd highly recommend.i see a lot of people on here talking about how it "ruined their life" and i just want to say to those people that, i'm sorry if the school treated you that way, but it is NOT like that now, and you cant just sign on here hoping to get the school to shut down because of their past doings.you can't dwell on this sort of thing forever.

Again, This is the most underrated school in the state, and if you don't believe me, my fellow students will be happy to back you up on that.

Edit: i just wanted to answer some popular queries on this school:

"Harry potter is banned but yet lord of the rings and Eragon are not. "

Harry potter is banned in many Christian schools for apparently being demonic, but lord of the rings and eragon aren't because they are allegories referencing biblical events.

"Kids with special needs are treated poorly and are often said to contain demons. "

Kids with special needs seem to get attention a lot at our school.to anyone who witnessed this, some CRTs can be a bit dodgy.there is a learning support program as of 2021 (I think it's called S. T. E. P.) and a learning support room and a chaplain.

"This school nearly ruined my life"
Oh calm down! Schools have changed drastically over the years and whoever commented this most likely went to school in the 70s or 80s when school discipline was through the roof.

Very good school, recommended, and yet people say bad things about it, very immature and they are wrong.

Personally love this school and will always remember how great it is.

They taught me many things such and but some teachers might need to be less strict.

Absolutely horrendous.

Considering most students don’t get to pick their school, they have no regard for anyone with different beliefs or values. Even people who interpreted passages differently.

For example, atrocious treatment/ language used to describe LGBTQ+ community. Harry Potter is banned for being demonic yet lord of the rings and Eragon are not. These small irrationalities set the foundation of the school’s approach to teaching and to students. From having the wrong socks to not being able to afford a new uniform when it has a few holes, they will always find a way to blame the student and make them feel worthless.

I suffer severely from depression and anxiety as a result of a really bad childhood, and as such struggle with panic attacks and extreme drops in mood. Through VCE my meds were constantly changing and thus my energy levels were very up and down. In one math class (with a substitute who wasn’t my normal teacher) I had my head on the table and he told me to have a word. He then told me I was ruining my friends’ education and if they did badly it was all my fault. He then went back into class. I went to the bathrooms and self-harmed as of course I believed his awful lies. The school needs to really correct how it deals with students who are not misbehaving but struggling to survive let alone work perfectly.
They regularly sent me home early to a bad home life despite me begging to stay at school for the day. Eventually I gave up and started looking after my own safety since no one else would.

Teacher’s children are regularly put on a pedestal and treated very differently to other children. For example one teacher had both of her kids as school captains during their final year. Funny coincidence hey? Especially considering they were far from the best candidates.

Divorced/ single parents are treated poorly. Kids with problems are brushed aside rather than dealt with, sometimes told they have “demons”.

Their mental health support is a joke, with a single chaplain available. Most schools in the area have psychologists on hand for counselling. There were a rare few teachers who have a damn without going overboard on the religion. Science was a joke while studying evolution as weren’t told the actually details of the theory and had teachers consistently make fun of people who “believe” in evolution. Yet they refuse any criticism of their beliefs. Hypocrisy at its finest

Furthermore, the school offers a mediocre environment for learning at the best of times, and turns a blind eye to repeated bullying and mistreatment at the worst times. Teachers would rather help students ostracise each other, and punish the ones who finally snapped rather than the instigators. Do not recommend for anyone with any sort of mental health problem, illness or disability.

Kids with problems should be referred to therapists rather than told to pray more.

In saying this, there were those few teachers/ staff who noticed things weren’t right but sadly they didn’t have the confidence to address this in any way other than punitively.

This school nearly ruined my life. I had undiagnosed ADHD while I went to this school, and I was constantly belittled by the teachers for not being at the standard they wanted. Not a single teacher picked up on the fact that perhaps I needed extra help, and not a single teacher offered to help when they saw me struggle EVERY DAY. They didn't care that I was severely depressed. Instead, I was ostracised and made to feel like I was worthless. I was so traumatised after going to this school that it took me 10 years to gather up the courage to study again, so convinced I was that I was stupid and hopeless. (and, as it turns out, with a tiny bit of help and understanding, I can be a good student.)

Don't send your kid to this school if they have even the mildest learning disability. They will be yelled at for it.
