Bayfit Leisure Centre

Is there any reason why the hot water in the large disable changing room is not working? It has been three months since I first reported this along with three further reports. It would seem that the needs for the most vulnerable in our society are not worth caring for. Seriously three months to fix the hot water? Come on you can do better!

Thank you for your response but two weeks later and still nothing on providing basic hot water to your disable patrons. Perhaps you could also address the issue of cleanliness give the state of the floors. I trust that you don't have to consult the council on this front.

Update - Over 5 months and still nothing. No change, no hot water, the floors are filthy and nobody cares. Bayfit management do your job.

Update - Over 6 months and still not fixed.

This is a good pool, but if you're heading here with kids avoid swim school times of about 9-12 and 3-6 or so as you get shafted to what feels like 3 square metres of pool space and it's busy. Early mornings or late evening are bliss.

Its just a good pool and gym the price is a to be expected recommend going to another place if you want just a gym but if you want a pool and gym go here

They never EVER answer their phone! I leave messages and still no one calls back. Sometimes I call and can’t leave a message as their message bank is full! This has been the case for 2 months now! Pretty unbelievable and so so frustrating.
When I went there I asked about the child minding service so women can leave their kids there when they do their work outs. I was told it has been post poned due to CO-vid. There is no reason they can’t have this facility available to women as the Co-vid situation is very well managed in Australia atm and Child care facilities have been operational for many months now in Victoria.
It looks like a clear case of cost cutting to me.
Manager of this Centre please call me so I can discuss my real concerns with you personally.

The temperature of the swim school pool was cold today.again. My 3yo was pretty much shivering throughout the class and hence, was not too keen in doing some of the activities.

This is not the first time that this has occurred. Been about 3 months since this problem started. I really am not keen in stepping into a cold pool especially when we are coming into winter.

Gym staff need to Enforce gym etiquette rules.
Towel rule need to be enforced.
Most males there never use towels or wipe down equipment.
We have less equipment now since new management takeover.
Some necessary machinecs and bits and pieces/accessories are no longer there.ment to look after the Community.

Pick up the standards.

I go there for rehabilitation. The hydro pool is hot then warm.
The cafe sells the most wonderful salad sandwiches. Go try.

This place is the worst I was getting out of the water and I accidentally splashed this man that works there and yelled at me mind you it was like a two dots of water and I told him I was drowning but he said he didn't care. And this place needs to be cleaned like everyday.

The dirtiest, smelliest, filthiest fitness centre. Showers stink never cleaned. The sewage in Werribee is cleaner.

Good indoor pool options. Warm water kids area, babies section, cool water lap lanes and hot spa and recovery pool. Plenty of kick boards and recovery tools available to share. Bench seats and chairs surround. Cafe. Change rooms. While the kids water features aren’t fully operational and haven’t been for years, the kids still just love being in water and don’t care.

There are a variety of classes which are all run by experienced friendly staff.
Many staff working at this facility are helpful and welcoming.
The gym equipment, gym floor space, plus the changing rooms do need to be updated and renovated.
The prices are very reasonable to join and to participate in classes.

Great centre with great potential. Love the program pool.
However, if they had longer hours would be good. If you work fulll time the centre is limiting compared to having 24 hour gyms available these days. It is the world we live in.

If you are going for casual play with kids this centre is not for you. General play area is pointless. They may as well not have it. In summer go to the beach, werribee or Marybrnong.

I have been a member since opening and attend all the time. Facilities are degrading and need renovation. Staff could do with PR training.

Just doing this review to say they are closed due to the COVID19 closures hope they will reopen soon, I need to be in that pool getting my excercise

Bayfit has a great atmosphere and friendly environment due to the amazing and professional staff.

Really enjoyed the baby swimming classes from Fiona, sad to leave as we are moving Interstate. Fiona is high of energy, which works great on all the kids and she'll get a lot done in the 30 minutes. Every week fun over again!

Some facilities need to be updated or better maintained.

This place is funny. It serves its purpose for us - a pool to swim in. But it's just grotty, service at the counter is poor to bad. General look and feel is tired, staff who help with swimming are brilliant. It should be a place you want to go. I can't wait t leave once were done!

Overall great facility. If you are a swimmer and you go after work good luck cause after 5pm every lane is occupied by kids courses and not many lanes are available for free swimming. Staff is very good and friendly. Showers are not super clean but you ve got everything you need. If they had an additional outdoor pool or would be my dream fitness center.

Rip off scam. Scamming the local council government. This should be the cheapest gym since our tax money goes to subsidize it. Price is more than any private gym. Please boycott this company.

Best staff ever. They have a guy he name Bobby he should be general manager. He have big experience.super fit. Guys if u need any help ask for Bobby.

Great gym and equipment. 20 bucks a week for membership is not cheap, but you can enjoy gym, group classes, the swimming pools there. What else do you expect?
