Basil and Co

Ordered via uber eats and waited over an hour and 2 delivery drivers later, because they had to wait so long. Be honest about how long the food will take to make, so I can make an informed decision where to order. Not worth the wait.

Great quality tasty pizza with fresh ingredients.staff were attentive, we dined at the restaurant. Small cozy atmosphere. Very clean. Had a small courtyard at the rear if you want to be outdoors.

Got Uber eats and it took an hour to arrive.pizza had an adequately delicious base to it, but they were very frugal with the olives- I think we got three (cut in half). Overall, neutral. Do you want to eat here? Well, you can! Makes no difference to me

Food:
Calamari for entree was well cooked. Pizzas were delicious. Highly recommend the seafood pizza, was covered with lots of pump juicy prawns, and the sauce was quite spicy, which I enjoyed. Hubbie had capriciossa with carciofi, and he said it was very good too. Will be back out here, or at least order Uber eats.

Fantastic margherita pizza and a good price at $29 for two large traditional pizzas and a garlic bread for takeaway. But some issues with the service.

Ordered on the phone on Friday at 6pm (admittedly a very busy time) and told it would be an hour. The website menu says $25 so they need to update that. I arrived and was told to wait another 10 minutes, then longer, then I finally got it 80 minutes after I ordered. To be fair, they offered me a free drink while I waited. Then when I got it they forgot to charge me for the food, so I went back and paid. They were really nice staff, lovely, but some issues with the order on a busy Friday night.

I'd be happy to go back another day. And the margherita really is amazing.

New to the area and a neighbour recommended Basil and Co. Will thank her when I see her next.

Pizza was very tasty and generous with toppings.

I walked in for takeaway and every staff member was friendly. In the short time for my order to be ready the place became full of diners.

I also bumped into a different neighbour collecting and order. He told me he always gets pizza from here too.

Cannot speak more highly of the pizza from here. Topping quantity and quality is great. Really easy place to take kids, where I know food will be eaten.

I went to Basil and Co on Friday night with my sisters and we are all vegetarian and one is a coeliac and we were well catered for. The gluten free pizzas are amazing and my stand outs were melanzane pizza and the potato focaccia.
What I love most about Basil and Co is that they have wine on tap to help move towards sustainability in the hospitality industry. We had a vegan, bio-dynamic, organic wine from Tuscany and it was delicious.
The staff are friendly and warm and happy to explain and give suggestions.
Oh also, the place is STUNNING! Every detail of the decor is just picture perfect xx

Best ever pizza! Highly recommend! Beautifully presented and clean pizza bar. The staff are so friendly and attentive. I live in Craigieburn, a good 45 minutes away but it is so worth the drive that’s how amazing the pizzas are! Even my fussy little eaters are impressed. Keep up the great work, Basil & Co!

Have visited Basil and Co multiple times for small and large orders over the past few months which have been great every single time. Owners and staff are friendly too. Great little addition to Newport!

I was so impressed with Basil and Co. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant is on point. We were a table of 10 and every single person was raving about the meal they had chosen, the calamari are apparently out of this world. I am vegan and they happily catered for me too and made me the best vegan pizza I have ever had. Highly recommend this place!

We love Basil and Co for quality Naples-style pizza on a base that is crunchy and light. Our kids love it too, no arguments to have dinner here!

Best pizza I've had in a long time. Proper Italian pizza. Frienly staff. Fair price, will definitely go back. Wish it was closer to home.
