Great list of wines, spirits, beers plus cocktails, also heaps of choices of standard beverages. Good menu choice for food be it Vegan, Vegetarian and GF. Tapas as well as burgers are available. Friendly staff and a very cool vibe.

Barr’d offers a level of service that continues to set a high standard for dining out locally in 2023. Our selections from the menu and wine list were delivered promptly and were super fresh and delicious. Friendly, attentive, yet unobtrusive service from staff is always present. We’ll be back soon.

Made a booking randomly, and had the best meal out in ages! Too much food to fit, incredible drinks, and the staff were all just wonderful! We'll be back again next time we're in Melbourne

A really great atmosphere and fantastic service.

All the dishes were great, the only 2 negatives I have is that the octopus was a little tough and the Eggplant chips were just a tad empty of Eggplant.

BUT the flavours were great in all the dishes, presentation was beautiful and I enjoyed the drinks!

Again went to Barrd, this time in person.
As expected we had a fabulous time, real king enjoyed a huge selection of Tapas followed by the best paella in town. Love it.

Ordered an amazing feast for my birthday (in lockdown). Food was scrumptious, beautifully cooked and they even gave some free beers! Can’t wait to order again.

I booked last minute for an early Sunday dinner and they were able to fit us in. Service was great, waiter even filled our water glasses without asking. Orders were taken promptly. Cocktails were excellent quality. Food was delicious, great variety, there’s so much on the menu it was hard to choose but will definitely have to come back another time to try more! We also got take home cheesecake for dessert which was delicious.

A rare gem in Ivanhoe! Welcoming and friendly service. We felt like we were well looked after, even though the place was very busy. The food was great, quantity and quality-wise (churros are enough for two people!). And the place was buzzing for a Tuesday night! Lively ambiance. If you don't like the hustle and bustle inside, you can sit outside. Definitely worth one visit.and another!

I’m a long time customer local to the area, I have come here a couple times, food is always delicious. Personal favorite of mine are the Barrd Burgers on a cruisy night and with a group - their range of paellas! Their tapas menu is quite large and accomodate everyone’s palate

We love this local spot, the menu is comprehensive without being overwhelming, the staff are attentive and very personable, the food is always heart warming and well executed. The beer and wine list are extensive and the cocktail list is a comfort and a delight. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous, I cannot say enough good things. They have heaters outside and windows to sit at in summer, they play decent music and Friday football in style with an exquisite saganake. I cannot sing their praises about.

Went again on the weekend. Drinks, food, music, vibe and staff all brilliant. Very reasonable prices - don’t change a thing.

Massive paella with a lot of ingredients. The lamb chop & pork belly tacos are both delicious. Fried eggplants are great too! Well priced, will come back again.

If you want bland, deep fried tasteless food in the style of pre-prepared frozen supermarket meals - this is your place! Wine by the glass tasted like it was out of cardboard box and two huge TV screens blaring 80's rock clips completed the experience. The highlight of the evening was Tina Turner's rendition of "What's love got to do with it? " She would have been better off asking "What's food got to do with it? ! " Wish we'd gone to the pub!

Nice to have a friendly local bar to come to when the kids are at footy training. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! The local beers and the fact they have coffee all the time (not all of us stop coffee at 3pm), plus a wide ranging menu is a bonus. The friendly staff is really the thing that makes it a great place to hang out by yourself. I have also had group bookings here and they were very accommodating.

What an asset to Ivanhoe East. Great place, with character (and characters!). Menu has variety. I don't normally get full on tapas, but I did here.

The fish hake was really nice followed by the buffalo cauliflower. The nachos were pretty standard and the lamb cutlet were nice but the skin was a bit mushy. Customer service was one of the best I have experienced.
