Barber Black Sheep

Moved into the area. Thought about traveling back to the old hood to visit regular barber. So glad I decided to drop in and give Matt at Barber Black Sheep a go. Returned 5 weeks later. Now I have a new regular. Extremely happy with the cut, my partner says best yet and I agree. Matt talks u through the process to ensure the end result is a success. Friendly chat and drink on arrival. Highly recommend.

I came in without a plan for my hair and without any understanding of how to achieve the style I wanted.
Matt listened to me and conferred with other members of staff to give me a haircut I am very happy with.

I got a cut here today, appointment was for 11am, we got started at 11.20. Seemingly my hair cut (post-lockdown) was a 'long to short' cut ($55) as opposed a 'haircut' ($47), I apologised for my hair length and booking misdemeanour, and happy to pay the extra. The Barber proceeded in a rude condescending fashion to lecture me on how I caused him to miss his coffee break, and how I had upset the timing of his day - the 'long to short' cut takes longer. I thought better of pointing out (to a bloke holding a scissors over my head) that I happened to be a customer, and perhaps if we started on time he could have his coffee and more.

This was my third visit, the previous two where pleasant haircut experiences, but perhaps the popularity of this place is beginning to effect their attitude. A slippery slide perhaps.

Always a fantastic experience, no matter which barber I get. The team always listens and always executes (my often changing briefs) to perfection. Nice relaxing ambience where I never feel like I’m getting rushed out of there. Use of warm towels and beer are the little finishing touches on top that ensure I keep coming back. Thank you!

Want a great cut without the BS? This is the place. Relaxed and easy from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Had a beard trim with "Handsome Jack" this morning. This place offers great customer service and Jack is a very skilled barber! Left looking and feeling great!

Truly an excellent experience visiting this barber shop. This was my first visit to the black sheep barber and my barber was Nicola. Nicola is definitely a pro barber. He continuously communicated with me to ensure that my hair are cut according to my requirements. We also had a good chat during my haircut. Definitely the best haircut I've ever had and will be visiting again.

Big fan of Barber Black Sheep. Been going there for a year or two now.

Unfortunately, I'm bald now (no fault of theirs!) But when I had hair I reckon they made me look the best I ever had.

I now go in for my beard. My wife always says she hates my beard until I come home from a visit to BBS and then she likes me again. So that's nice.

Have been coming to see Nicola for over a year now and even after I have moved suburbs I still come back as he gives me a great cut:) friendly service and easy booking process too!

I love my haircut. They take pride in their cut & are a cut above many others. But no more razor to the neck?

Saddest thing about moving from Brunswick will be leaving this barber (and particularly Nelson).
