Bar Eight

This is everything that it was 20 years ago when I was in my early 20's. Bar Eight is iconic, it's a suburban treasure and should be on a heritage listing somewhere.
The tables are good, the cues are good, the drinks are slightly over priced, the floor is sticky in some places and you can smell the smokers from their outdoor smoking area. It's a glorious mix of everything that is nostalgic from bars back in the day. 110% worth a stop in for a drink and a rack or two of 8 ball.

Loads of pool an billiards tables with reasonable prices. Nothing fancy, just basic pool hall that's alright to hot up with the boys. Plenty of parking at front. Often have good drinks deals too so can be good for a predrink

This place is close by for me, since most of my friends come here just to relax and meet up with everyone. Drinks specials are cool, same with the pool tables to play on.
Karaoke on Fridays & Saturdays, busier on Saturdays.

They will ask for your ID to scan. I understand they have to make sure that you are over 18, but scanning the ID card is breaching your privacy.

Went Here for the first time Friday, it was awesome! Great place to hang with some friends, the bar staff are awesome aswell.

While the place is a good place to catch up, the decor needs updating as it hasn't been updated since my husband used to go back in the early 90s!
Also, the toilets being open is an invasion of privacy.who needs genital pics when you can sit at the corridor of the toilets and be able to see wang from the urinals

Needs more of a fun vibe with music during the weekdays. Very serious vibe with serious players cause everything’s so serious in this world. Pool tables in excellent condition

Wicked as place to hang out with pals. Play em snooker, pool. Chug em beers. Friendly staff. Super spacious

Bar 8 is amazing
The employees are all amazing always just happy and helpful the food is amazing feel very safe every weekend here highly recommended.

The owner does a amazing job at running the bar 8 she is always happy and bubble and blends in with all of us to make our experience amazing

Very bad customer service, one of the workers was angry or something spoke to us in a very firm angry way like we r entering a FBI building or something. Plus the smell of the place like you are sitting inside a chicken nugget.

Amazing place with more then 15 pool tables and, Much better than all the other pool places with affordable price. Great food and beer.

Quiet and affordable place to enjoy pool and have a relaxing time with friends. Very delicious burgers. Have special discounts for Tue and Thur nights.

Much better than all the other pool halls in Melbourne by far, this was my local for years, pity I moved away! Word of advice get the killer python. You won't regret it

Great place to go to and take your friends too.
They have some nice nibbly foods to eat while you are there playing pool, table tennis or listening to music that the DJ is playing

I like the pool and ping pong, havent tried the karaoke so not sure if its any good. Some of the clientele are trashy bogans, but its not the businesses fault.

Use to love coming here on karaoke night, but recently they have had a stock sellout of all there almost best before's, was a mad bargain hunt there!
